Dangote should concentrate on export and leave Nigeria people alone,

if them like let them go and re-buy his fuel from the international water.

useless country

the man for build the refinery for Ghana self make Nigeria people go import it.

Locally produced petroleum shouldn't be more expensive than imported ones. If I am a marketer, I will boycott Dangote too unless he reduces the price.

Let the poor.....
You actually didn't read the article.

Local marketers boycott buying cheaper diesel from Dangote.... because they want a higher price for a high profit margin.

The FGN should be now ban importation of Diesel to force them to buy from Dangote

You dey interpret nonsense.

No trader boycotts a cheaper product of same quality. If they want to maximize their profits, they should buy the cheaper one.
Read the article and same thing was said by the MD of Dangote last week or so..

Buy at high price gives them more high profit margin..they want Dangote to actually increase the price of Diesel

Locally refined petroleum is NOT more expensive than imported ones. Stop spreading misinformation and wicked lies.

He mentioned that because local traders are refusing to purchase at the refinery’s reduced pricing, 97% of the refinery’s output, which includes diesel and jet fuel, is exported:

i suspect this man is not being honest

It is obvious that you cannot read nor comprehend simple English. Go back and read it again, then if can actually read and comprehend, then modify your writeup but if not, you either need to go to school or ask for refund of your tuition fees from Enugu.

This issue is a clear black and white issue.

The fuels being purchased in Malta is sanction busting Russian oil. Russia can only sell its crude oil for $60/barrel. So, any refined oil extracted from it would also be very competitive.

That may be the reason why.

I keep telling people like Nairalanda1 that the Nigerian oil industry is the most corrupt in the whole world, yet he would tell us the solution is paying more,
And I keep telling communists and lovers of the old soviet union like the good comrade StaffofOrayan that if we paid the market price for stuff, not only would the stuff be well made, but corruption and other messes up would be reduced or eliminated, and you would have good products.

But no, he believes that there is a pot of money somewhere over the rainbow that yields money at his command.

Best to leave him there. cheesy

If Dangotes fuel is cheap, why did fuel price jump up immediately Dangote started producing?
Well, considering it cost him over N700 to refine a liter of pms....what did you expect?

But no, you guys want it at N40, extra costs be dammed! grin

The local marketers are just being petty. Imagine boycotting a product that is cheaper than the one they have been selling to Nigerians for years now.
Dangote can never sell cheaper and Nigerian marketers still go importing at higher price lie lie
There is a market they buy cheaper from which Dangote knows not
U don't jump into a business u know nothing about simply cos you are financially buoyant.
Is this same so called refinery we are see as messiah to low fuel price in Nigeria that increased the price from 568 to 855 when he wanted to start operation.
If local marketers are not buying why are you worried?
Or did u build that massive refinery with aim of selling to our locals? Cos I Don t understand what the 3% refinery utility is all about, the whole subsidy drama is about people smuggling(exporting) what we are supposed to consume locally.
Dangote should work more on exporting his fuel for better profit rather than aiming at milking the locals jooh
Re: Local Marketers Boycott Dangote Refinery Products by deji17: 3:04pm On Sep 24, 2024
Dangote should get his own filling stations or partner with existing marketers to flood the market with his product.

And base on what fact did you assume local petrol is more expensive than the imported ones

Asides the fact that Nnpc is not being sincere and transparent with price model .. most naives mind fail to take into consideration "Subsidy" is ongoing and thats the attraction

Remove subsidy ( for real) on imported fuel and lets see which is expensive in real sense
if not that we have a fantastically corrupt system of govt how can govt be subsidizing imported fuel against local refined

imagine govt remove import duties on imported cars ..you will say innoson is over expensive.
we know why Nnpc/govt and marketers are fighting tooth nd nail to keep importing thats how they loot and share Nigeria money all in the name of "shortfall" intervention" or subsidy

At all at all
Imagine he said 97%is beings exported in another news he said they are only utilizing 3% of the refineries capacity
So that 97% export is a lie
It is rather redundant
His aim is to milking the poor

Of course I trust u are not lazy thinker.
It will favour the poor / masses.
Re: Local Marketers Boycott Dangote Refinery Products by BarrElChapo(m): 3:47pm On Sep 24, 2024
Dangote should just open filling stations all over Nigeria and sell his Products. honestly this back and forth is becoming tiresome.

The Quality of Dangote PMS is E10 the same quality used in Europe. The imported fuel is the cheapest, dirtiest petrol is referred to as “African quality”. This type of petrol, laced with high levels of toxic substances, is banned in Europe.

These dirty fuels contain sulphur and benzene, which can cause cancer, and manganese, which damages engine parts, particulate filters and catalytic converters.

The local marketers prefer the dirty fuel because they have more margin to profit from Nigeria. The Nigerian government must ban dirty fuel immediately.

The man is way way ahead of all this local people in Nigeria, a futuristic minded businessman, it is a process, Dangote na em get Nigeria for pocket.

They are trying their last best to stop the inevitable monopoly by Aliko, until the BUA Refinery comes on stream which is still a few years away, by then the whole sector in Alhaji’s pocket.
