2025: APGA to APC - Your Edo Abracadabra Won't Work in Anambra

A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chinedu Obigwe, has dismissed boasts by Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), that the party( APC) will win the 2025 Anambra governorship election using the "Edo template."

Obigwe, who is the National Coordinator APGA Media Warriors' Forum, described Ganduje's statement as "vainglory and flippancy."

He emphasized that the APC's tactics in Edo State would not succeed in Anambra State.

He noted that Ganduje's boasts implied that the APC engaged in "mumbo jumbo and abracadabra" to win Edo, which would not work in Anambra.

"The problem with Ganduje is that he runs his mouth flippantly without considering the implications of what he's saying," Obigwe said, adding, "If he thinks they can replicate the Edo strategy in Anambra, he's daydreaming."

Obigwe pointed out that APC's successes in Imo and Ebonyi were due to individual politicians defecting, not grassroots support.

He stated that in contrast, Anambra has consistently rejected APC.


"Anambra electorate passionately dislike APC. APGA has delivered on its promises, and citizens will re-elect Governor Soludo in 2025 for a well-deserved second term," Obigwe maintained

Obigwe advised Ganduje to focus on addressing his own failures, particularly his inability to install a successor in his home state, rather than making empty boasts.

"Ganduje should be ashamed that his state is governed by an NNPP governor, despite having federal might at his disposal.

"There's no vacancy in Anambra Government House till 2030," the APGA Chief stated.

It is possible for APC to win in Anambra state. This will likely happen if there is a strong candidate for labour party and another candidate for APGA...this might split the majority of votes and give APC the lead. So I suggest Labour should not field any candidate in Anambra gubernatorial election.

Let APC have the whole of 36 state ,there is no point wasting money on conducting election.

Imolites accepted Hope Uzodinma twice. They never attempted to take back their mandate from him by impeaching him even after the last Supreme Court decision against them.

OP, Edo was indeed an Abracadabra, and I am surprised that no one seems interested in blowing it all up.

It was not APC that rigged the election. It was Tinubu who directed INEC and the police to declare the APC candidate winner by all means.
I am sure if the PDP goes to court, he will also direct INEC not to provide evidence then also direct the judge to throw away the case.
We are in trouble in Nigeria.
