A lot of places. I can go to NY round trip for $100-200 depending on the airline. NY is about a 1 hour flight.
The Abuja route should be a popular flight.
Given that US wages, regulations, airport fees, taxes etc. are so much more than Nigeria, the Nigeria price doesn't make much sense.

I de tell u!. For the first time in my life, Lagos feels like a ghost town. I can't even begin to imagine the situation of things outside Lagos.

This is 2024, Nigerians that want to fly plane nor suppose pay pass 10k not one way ticket ooo.
With your 10k you for fit travel round Nigeria with train.
Less than 20k you should be able to tour the whole Ecowas countries with train.
But see where we are today.
We have this resources in abundance, after water the cheapest thing in Nigeria should be fuel,but funny enough even water is still expensive in Nigeria, even millions of Nigerians don't have access to portable clean water.
It's a pity.

I travelled from Lagos to Abuja in 2015 for NYSC and the airfare was 14k.

Lol, I work at the airport and can categorically confirm these photos are intended to deceive.
Agreed the tickets are very high but what do you want the airlines to do when 100% of all the items, tools, parts and equipment required to maintain the aircraft are sourced in dollars and pounds. It is the naira they collect that they exchange for dollar to get all the things required.
As for the photo it could be taken when there was no activity or at night or when the airlines have closed for the day. You dont expect anybody seated; doing what?
With the high fare, the flights are still booked full or almost full till this hour.
The politicians have ruined our naira.
