Plumbing Or Truck Driving - Jobs/vacancies In Abroad by SirFamous11(op): 6:42am On Sep 24, 2024
Please, I need Nigerians who are already in the United States or Canada to tell me which is more lucrative for someone looking to enter these two countries from Nigeria: Truck driving or plumbing. Which one requires less certification, and which one is easier to get into and be employed in? What kind of certification is needed for both? Also, what should I know about them? Please, guide me through this. Thank you.

Truck Driving (in the US)

It's one of the few jobs I can think of where you can train for a few weeks, and then be working and make $70K+ (USD) your first year. Plumbers aren't doing that. And there's a shortage, so it's not hard to get in. One of the reasons there's a shortage is because it's so easy to get your own equipment and drive indie. Another reason is that it's not glamorous (long days, away from home for weeks, sleep in your truck, etc.).

I think a lot of the industry in Canada is full of Indians, and Canadian salaries are lower in general. You don't want to work there.

But you have to do your training in the US or Canada to work in the US (they also accept training from federal government in Mexico, but I doubt you can access that). Training isn't expensive or hard to access. You just have to figure out how you're going to (legally) get there. Not as easy now.

do you have a visa to enter usa?
Nigerian truck drivers/ our trucking standards in Nigeria is crap. No employer will file for you from Nigeria. You need to be in the USA either as a student or green card holder. And in some cases visit visa( under G runs). Some of the asylum seekers in usa and Canada are taking up truck jobs after being trained

You really shouldn't be operating a large vehicle like that unless your English is decent. It isn't safe for other people or you.

Good afternoon everyone

Please I have a question and I would really appreciate everyone’s input, my husband traveled to Canada on a study permit on August 2023, he’s studying a two years course and currently in his second year, since the end of SWOP for diploma student we have been searching for the best way to join him over there, we have a 9 months old son.
We have decided to submit a visitor visa for both my son and myself, we used my Dad as sponsor with a bank statement of over 600 million naira, sitting balance of 18 million and my husband’s 6 months pay slip from his job in Canada, as proof of funds, I personally don’t have any substantial Money in my account and I’ve only been using my OPay account for about a year now, so we are planning to use an investment certificate I have stating that the investments proceeds will be deposited into my account at a later time, while including it in my statement of purpose that I will submit my bank statements when I get the investment
So my question is
1. Should I submit my OPay bank statements
2. Is an investment certified enough for my personal proof of fund?

Thank you

How can someone move to Mexico even as they don’t have embassy in Nigeria?

Don't try to submit any opay, this is the reason,I always advise for people to use normal bank no matter how bad,and have this fintech as backup.

Since I learnt from an immigrant lawyer about the high chances of denial if you use Fintech banks,I avoid it. Except for most platforms that accepts Kuda, please about the mission for visa application.

Thank you
