It is actually sad that Nigerians cannot see through the fraudulent scheme of road construction.
Signing multi million dollar road construction contract with foreign firms is the oldest method the ruling class uses to legitimately transfer funds abroad.
The country is virtually broke, and facing extreme lack of economic opportunities, which has resulted in lack of jobs, extreme hardship, crimes, insecurity and chaos. And they signed contracts that ships out scarce funds.
Governors have been pulling this scheme for decades. Tinubu is just doing the same thing on a massive scale. And Nigerians are are celebrating!!!
The only thing that can rescue Nigeria from present economic crisis are EXPORT INDUSTRIES that will create SUSTAINABLE employments, and generate FOREIGN EXCHANGE revenue for the country through the development of our diverse resources.
Instead of creating wealth for the country, they are transferring scarce funds abroad, with the excuse of building infrastructure.
Reliable power supply is far more important to economic development than all the road they are building. Nigeria's power supply is only similar to countries at war. And Nigeria is not at war! Nigeria's economic hardship, social instability, insecurity and run-away inflation, because of lack of economic opportunities, is only similar to countries at war. And Nigeria is not at war! Nigerians lacks portable water and basic food stuff like countries at war. And Nigeria is not at war. That is the level of incompetence of Nigeria's leadership. And people are celebrating road construction which does not address the existential crisis facing the country.

This project has been on since the days of GEJ... IF Wike finishes it, then I've seen the only thing to applaud him for...

I am not a wike fan but you no lie, wike finish work for PHC. Places like Rumuola, Rumuomoro junction that used to give us issues because of bus drivers and bad roads baba dualize the thing free the roads. Standard roads the guy sabi. PDP really robbed him. If wike was governor of Lagos, Lagos would have been far more developed

He more or less beautify the already completed road between Aso Rock entrance to Apo roundabout, then the link bridge between NAFDAC and Wuye, these 2 projects were 99‰ ready before Buhari left This Idiot started scrapping the well tarred roads within the city centre, roads that can perfectly still be okay for the next 15yrs so that he will be causing hold up making people think he is working,meanwhile everywhere in Abuja are places and people in distress. What he is doing is equivalent to a father who drives a good Honda but used the last money he has to upgrade to latest Benz, meanwhile his children have not eaten and are out of school due to no money. Same strategy he used in Rivers wasting Rivers money on politicks While Rivers people were drowning in flood. Very useless Scam deceiving ignorant people

Bro, same thing I have been saying forever. Ordinary Second rainbow bridge in Lagos has taken over 17 years to construct and they are yet to commission it. Under 8 months Wike started and completed more than 10 of such bridges in FCT with extensive standard road network. Lagosians dont travel to see the quality of road projects going on elsewhere that is why they are talking. Give Wike Lagos and he will transform it to the best city in Africa under one year. Don't forget the kind of money Lagos state have.

That's what Yoruba people call "leadership in action", look for any road anywhere and flag it off, construct ot and shout am working! Don't pay attention to education, health, environment, socal welfare etc, fashola did it in Lagos why can't wike in Abuja.

95% of projects Wike is commissioning were existing and ongoing projects that he got monies to complete.
Tell me how many projects Wike flagged off.
If he didn't flag off these projects, then he is only completing existing projects.

Wike is working, no doubt. But the fact remains that most of the projects he is commissioning were ongoing projects that were almost 75% completed. He only quickly took monies and completed them and hype himself.
