Hi! Good evening everybody, I wish to be advised on my endeavors to purchase a website. A guy here offered some of his website for sale, the price seem reasonable but I'm scared of been scammed. So, can anyone tell me what I need to look out for I'm order not to be scammed.

He said he'll send the the website login, I'll check and pay. But I don't know anything about stuffs like this so I wish to be helped.

Checkout List for your course

1. Seek review from a professional about the design and site health
2. Check to see how long more the hosting would last
3. Check to know if its SEO compatible
4. Take a tour around the cpanel to ensure that there are no personal scripts installed or coded for future references or dependencies
5. Seek to own the administration of the site from the administrative panel via the webhost's platform
6. Ensure you change the password for the cpanel and the platform the site was built on.
7. And more...

let him drop the URL here let's check for you. We check for things like
Traffic
Design
Article write-up style
Then you drop his nairaland username so we see if he is not a scammer.

Lastly, if all checked, pay half of the money then let him transfer the domain name, and WordPress login so you can get the files. When you have that, send another batch up to 80% so you have total control b4 paying off

Do a Google search on the number first

This is Nigeria, dey get sweet mouth, once u pay fat chance they stop chatting, ask for a meet up or face to face with someone dey know.

Check when the site was register and wen it will expire (i almost bought one that will expire in a month n he wanted to sell for 120k,

Ask for the package he is on.

Drop his number, he might have done deal here n either went well or didn't go well.

That's why I said a reliable escrow. Someone that is popularly known to provide escrow services for Nigerians. You probably know a few.

Lol, thank you for your input but I guess he's scam. Said he wanted to sell his series of website for 20k, I cut him off after that.
