Please If you have an experience of such I'd need your input.... I work with a federal agency, i was appointed back in 2019 our entry level as graduates then was level 7/2. Fast forward now we've never been promoted and I'm in level 7/7 but it's being said that we are about to be promoted which is long overdue. So my question here is, my salary with level 7/7 is more than those on 8/2 cause of the accumulation of steps. So when promoted does it mean you go to 8/2 or they take you further in steps cause 8/2 will be like a demotion in terms of earnings. Thank you

Is not really a good place but a lots of advantages travelling outside the country if you so wish. But salary is poor.but if u dont have any job pls take it but if u have compare it with the present salary u earn.

The maximum salary of a step in a level is not supposed to be higher than the step 1 of the following level

No it actually does get higher than the next level step 1, if you keep accumulating steps without promotion on level 7 you can even get to earn more than someone on level 9 step 2 depending on the steps. Remember there are 15 steps.... Someone has answered the question rightly, i think you will be placed on next level but on step 6 so as to balance the pay.

During the time of DG NILDS as Minister a friend got job upon his arrival from Manchester after few months of working he voluntary resigned because of poor pay,without having another job.but after he got Job with NIMC then to special adviser to Omo Agege then with BOI.
