Unless you are talking about the quantity of accruals judiciously registered as revenue or as government earnings. Otherwise, Nigeria as a country made more. Just the billions stolen from solid minerals and oil "bunkering" can double the countrys revenue earnings.Nigeria generates far more money than is reported. Having a government willing to confront corruption would help.

Africa is poor because we have allowed ourselves to be brainwashed by Europeans to always depend on them for our basic needs while they take away all our natural and mineral resources to their countries in Europe and Asia. They produce different things with cheap raw materials gotten from Africa for Africans to buy at exorbitant prices.

In Nigeria, the Presidents prefer to be Minister of Petroleum instead of Minister of Industry because of the quick wealth in crude oil sales and oil wells allocation. Nobody is paying attention to the major driver of every economy on earth which is INDUSTRY. Our universities are churning out graduates with no place for them to work because the industries are not there or have all collapsed. Unemployment is on the all time high now in Nigeria because of this 'I don't care' attitude of our leaders.

Most of these Europeans have industrialized their economies since the 19th and 20th centuries while Africans are still busy fooling themselves, swarning churches and mosques, expecting miracles to happen.

Then there is the issue of wastefulness, black people tend to be wasteful and spend so much on needless things. You'd be surprised that politicians of rich countries in Europe don't earn or spend as much as politicians in third world countries in Africa.. How will Africa ever develop with such terrible mindset mixed with corruption?.

I would or we would have made more is still a mirage.

U don't say such when it comes to financial obligations to ur country.
Money not make is not accountable.
