Very empty broadcast, taking Nigerians for granted , Tinubu only made the address to inform Nigerians that he has conferred some of the highest national honours to the Senate president, Chief Justice and house speaker -- those who are empowered by the constitution to hold him accountable. On a side note, why does Tinubu speak like a person with hangover ? |

OkCornel:@OKCornel, what I can observe is that some of us may hate Tinubu, but the man is progressing little by little. From his 8 point agenda you quoted above, I can see from number one. 1. Food Security: From the President's and this government efforts, tractor and other farm equipment assembly plant his been established in the north as we heard from the president's October 1st Nation broadcast, the duration for the completion of the plant is 6 month which will reduce the price of procuring tractor and other farm equipments when been assembled in Nigeria and this will in turn reduce prices of farm produce because foreign exchange that causes high rise of this equipment and food prices would have been eliminated. This also applied to fertilizer with the establishment of Dangote fertilizer and petrol chemical plant. 2. Poverty eradication: Tinubu government have been given the vurnerable and indigent Nigerians 25k for 3 month in past and workers 35k to supplement their salaries, food items trucks have also been distributed to the 36 state governors and abuja to cussion the effects of the poverty and inflation in the land. But most the governors refuses to distribute it to their citizens or share little and embezzle the rest. 3. Growth: our economy is growing though with a slow pace, the indices from our foreign reserve growth to foreign direct investment (FDI) and more are showing positive sign of growth. 4. Job creation; With the government funding of Nano businesses across the 774 LGAs, the training of youths under 3MTT ( 3 Million Technical Talent) skill acquisition program to train 3 million youths of which I am a beneficiary is another job creation initiative of Tinubu government. The tractor plant establishment in the north and Dangote refinery are another job creation avenue under this government. 5. Access to capital; 50k grant to Nano businesses, federal government grants and loans to SME are some of the access to capital for Small, Medium and Enterprises access to grants and loans. I have people applied for this grant, some have gotten theirs and others are yet to get theirs. 6. inclusion; This government is taking measures to include women and youth in government and businesses initiative. Most of the grants and loans mentioned above are mostly for the women and youths. 7. Rule of Law; We have all witness how the present Anthoney General and minister of justice is fearing in the rule of law under this government from fighting for local government autonomy to making sure government obey court orders. Tinubu' s government is doing a good job in this respect. 8. Fighting corruptions: The EFCC and ICPC under this government are trying, a case study is the issue of former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello who is a Youth Campaign DG during Tinubu's campaign, Tinubu has not interfere in the case so far as we even read last week that the former governor was calling for Tinubu's Intervention in the matter. If not for the present Kogi Governor shielding Yahaya Bello with his immunity, he would have been facing the music but the case is still in court sha. Some may say that he reported himself about 2 weeks ago or thereabout and EFCC refuses to interrogate him, someone who when to EFCC head office with entourage of his governor who is enjoying immunity, how would they arrest or interrogate him. There are other corruption cases that have been prosecuted under this government. If you have any contrary opinion, state it here, no insult or emotional outburst please. |

success4me:First of all, loving or hating Tinubu has nothing to do with the progress or retrogression of the nation. My loyalty lies with Nigeria and its progress. Not with politicians or any political party. That is why holding the government accountable to its promises is critical and would give everyone a benchmark to assess the performance of this government. That being said. I’m still seeing future tenses in some of your responses. Are you implying there’s been no progress whatsoever on food security between August 2023 till date? Out of the 50 million jobs promised between 2023 to 2026, how many has been created to date so far? Let’s also bear in mind the number of jobs lost and companies/businesses that ceased operations within that same timeframe. Do you eradicate poverty by handing out money? 🤷🏿♂️ |
