No it's not, everything is average or below except the SSD. What do you want to use 250gb size to do in 2024? Too small. Corei5, 8gb ram, 7th gen,you can upgrade to windows 11 or install it normally ( Windows 11 can be installed on any PC using back door though).
Like I said everything is average or below,it's too expensive for its spec.
To everyone who will come across this,in 2024, sizes of files are bigger,you need good storage space, quality of videos are better,you need dedicated graphics and 12gb or more Ram.
Even if you're going for a PC that comes with lower spec,don't pay more for what it's worth. Most Nairaland PC sellers are thieves,that's why they still have laptops they tried to sell 10 to 15 years ago with them. And they keep adjusting the prices because of "dollars".

The price of this laptop is outrageous too high, ideally HP Pro-book 640 G5 should not be anything higher 270k at the moment in computer village, here are my reasons HP Pro-book is way much cheaper in the market than HP Elite-book 840 series, which is much more in demand in the market, than HP Probook if it was Elite-book series say HP Elite-book 840 G5, G6, G8, G10, G12 series then i could say the price range for such laptop price will be 350k to 450K with the same above configuration, secondly the memory is 8gb ram, and the SSD hard disk is 256gb demanding 350k for HP Pro-book series is way too much but let it not be that am spoiling market for the seller, the seller could have his own personal reasons why he's selling his laptops for such an amount, it could be foreign exchange rate or shipping fees. but truth be told i stand to be quoted or corrected, what would make an HP Pro-book sold for 350k to 370k would be the configuration size for example the memory would be 16gb ram, the hard-disk size would be 512gb, the processor speed would be Corei7 and the screen size "13.5" or "15.6" inches and at most a Touchscreen do your research very well you find out the truth.

Am presently selling the same type of laptop configuration i ordered from US for 270k if you are interested call me on 08023900627 but before you do please do your research very well as said earlier to confirm all i have said so far.

It is not average. Your best bet on the laptop is 320k. Things are expensive. If the seller can include charger then it's okay at 320k.People get their products from different distributor , what matter is after sales service.

With the spec specified here, I argue it shouldn't sell more than 260-300 at most depending on its neatness..
Things are expensive but Nigerian sellers are known to put exorbitant tag on prices to make maximum profits. You should bargain well.

This is easily a N150k laptop, at most N200k. You guys should check facebook marketplace.

Yes it does, considering the price of Laptops in the market now, but be very careful not to buy a faulty Laptop or the one with a very bad battery... Make sure you test everything well before making payment..

Nigerians are good at giving opinion over something they have no idea about.
No reasonable laptop is below $100 abroad and that alone is already 170k

Shipping a laptop is $40 that is around 60k

I am not saying the laptop is $100 but no reasonable laptop is below $100 meaning this can even cost more.

you are right in some aspects but let me point some wrong assumptions you also made. The screen size of laptops doesn't matter be it 12 inches, 12.5, 13.3, 14.1, 15.6 inches, what matters is the display quality, touchscreen or non touchscreen, screen type and the screen resolution, that one doesn't influence the price tag, in fact most people prefer slimmer, flatter and portable laptops that is easily mobile nowadays with maximum of 13.3 inches size, compare to larger 15.6 inches

No amount of storage can be ever enough be it 500gb, 1tb, 2tb, that's why there are options for external storages and there are also cloud based storage laptops. what matters is what you're needing it for and the amount of files you're working on. And that laptop in quote is an 250gb SSD, SSD is very expensive compared to HDD, that 250gb SSD is very fast and the laptop processor too is fast, speed is what matters. If you need more storage, you can always upgrade it in the future or get an external SSD storage like 1tb.
