If that time should arrive and the country were to find it didn't have enough skilled workers locally, don't you think the government would probably look outside of its borders at that point? So, I am still not sure what it is you are busy imagining there.

2. Jobs are occupied by those who have the skills for the positions, right? If the country does not have enough skilled workers in any particular sector, it looks elsewhere for the workers it needs. it is as simple as that.

Denigrating the workers who work these jobs no matter how low you may think them in order to score political points is uncalled for abeg.

Precisely. There are levels to this thing. Looking at the economic buoyance of those countries you mentioned, it won't be farfetched to think that they are coming in for diverse opportunities without much challenges compared to an African. That is what Kemi's point is addressing.

Something keeps not adding up as far as the questions you ask.
►You carelessly assume that the country, when looking outside for workers, is not equally making sure the same positions are left open to those within who would decide to go into the same fields.
►You carelessly assume that the country is not at the same time working to provide incentives and bonuses to local skilled workers who would choose to fill the opportunities.
►You carelessly assume that the country somehow prefers to have foreign workers fill those positions than local workers.

Demand? That is the simple answer! There is a higher demand for foreign workers in that sector. That more than explains why there are more immigrant workers in the area. The same can be observed in the food service industry as well. More migrant workers are working at fast-food joints, etc. because there is a higher demand in that area as well than in other areas.
