Now that this announcement has been made, I hope those selling the above mentioned stuff won't still sell it at a high price with the excuse that they want to finish the old stock first. Because that has always been their excuse from day 1.

They should please stop removing taxes on these things cos I’ve noticed anytime they announce that they’ve removed taxes on something, that’s when the price actually goes up instead of down… who dey deceive who?

The other time, they said they removed tax on paddy rice. Can someone please remind me the current price of rice or paddy rice compared to before the tax removal policy was announced?
When they remove it we will feel nothing but when they return it we will feel he'll. Nature of everything in Nigeria.

Tinubu and those around him are mad men, busy running around like headless chickens.

They keep moving around in circles.

All efforts should be channelled in ensuring that the pump price of fuel, which they deliberately increased while masking it as deregulation of the downstream sector, is reduced drastically to at least below N200 per litre where they met it and watched prices of goods and services begin to reduce, the inflation rate reducing as well, and also transportation costs reduce with its ripple effect on other things.
Mention one country in the world that sells petrol at the equivalent of N200 per litre.

Ofunaofu:
Libya sell petrol below N200 per liter infact, Libya sell petrol at N52 per liter

Here's a link to the news about that

With subsidy or not?

Realguyman1:
Yeah with subsidy... Despite all the challenges the Libya government is passing through it still manage to make life easy for it citizens, and they are still doing far better than Nigeria in every aspect. Instead of the Nigeria government to face the corruption challenges that has put the country where it is today, no, they are busy punishing the common citizens
Good. Now compare Libya’s population with that of Nigeria and see which is sustainable.

And don’t also forget that Libya makes about 25 billion dollars annually from oil while Nigerian earns about 30 billion dollars in the same period.

And I bet you don’t know that they are already in financial crises already.

if that is the case, why did tinubu now say he will continue from where buhari stopped?

if you say buhari destroyed nigeria and tinubu is continuing from where buhari stopped as he promised, how then are you now saying that tinubu is working and that people should have faith?

should nigerians have faith in tinubu destroying nigeria?

tinubu claimed that buhari was nigeria's only solution.

how come you are now saying buhari was clueless and that he destroyed nigeria?

are you saying tinubu lied about buhari or are you the one lying about buhari?

meanwhile, which work is tinubu working?

what does having faith got to do with tinubu?

You've spoken well, another alternative is to take off the masses from petrol.

We have no biz depending on petrol for everything we do. Once that is done, nobody Will bother if the price skyrocket

Dey play.

The only thing that can drive price of fuel down is if they can drive down the exchange rate. Anything asides that na over the bar.

I didn't mention you in my comment, but out of your own magnanimity, you decided to become one of those I described as mad men.

It's your choice, not mine.
He is probably one of those selfish and unreasonable ones behind Tinubu benefiting highly from the government

Price hike in Nigeria is centered around cost of fuel
