Ohanaeze Leadership rotates amongst the 7 Igbo speaking States, the 5 states of the South East as well as Delta and Rivers State. It is due to move to Rivers State in 2025

For those who may not know, Rivers State is Indigenous to Igbo speaking people such as Etche, Obigbo, Ndoni, Ogba, Ikwerre, Egbema, Omuma and others. It is believed that 65% of Rivers State speak a dialect of of Igbo as their ancestral language

There have been names put forward, however, campaigning for the Position of Ohanaeze President General has been put on hold pending the burial of the late Ohanaeze President, Chief Iwuanyanwu. The President of Ohanaeze must be an Igbo man, he must hail from the State it is rotating to, must not be a member of any political party, and must be acceptable to the "Ime-Obi"

Names flying around so far include former Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, former speaker of the house of rep, Chief Chibudom Nwuche, current Deputy President General of the body, Chief Ihunwo Obi Wali, as well as former Secretary-General, Barrister Uche Okwukwu

Remove Amaechi, don't allow politicians drag you Ibos into their political game.

You can't deny reality with fake census figure. The average non-Ibo Nigerian meets at least 3 Ibo everyday in their daily activity..

I am Yoruba, I have met 3 Ibos today before 12pm.
They are more ubiquitous both nationally and globally. Forget fake census and focus on reality, Igbos are the real majority population-wise.

He has proven himself. During the last election he said to Nigerians that he will step down if anyone can tell where he mismanaged money as a Governor. Sowore is good but he need to test the fires of leadership first. He should start by being a Gov in Ondo state.
