Up to 80-90% of corpers are sent to schools to teach. Does the Govt care whether the corpers have TRCN cert before asking them to teach? Are these corpers included in these statistics? Unqualified doesn't meant they were not graduates but they were not a professional trained teacher like graduated in teaching line. I agreed with the statistics because most Teachers in especially private schools not govt schools graduated in other careers rather than Edu. No govt employ anyone from other discipline to teach in school but private schools does that. Those shouting OLUWOLE failed to understand that Lagos career markets is for all tribes in Nigeria meaning that all major tribes in the south are involved

It was recently on nairaland here where the best African scientists were 2 Swesteners and some others from other African countries and a British company KPMG recently showed how versatile SW education is when they mostly picked Swesterners for their top positions in Africa.
If you are good,show it in reality and dont let it just be an unconfirmed paper thing.

They are very "unqualified teachers", but when it comes to common entrance examination, university admissions etc, they are the cream at the top. Change can also mean increase, gaping those behind you.

Youth corners are generally more qualified than teachers in many parts of Nigeria. At least, all Youth corpers are graduates but not all teachers are graduated.

There was a time Harry on Twitter was posting dilapidated schools in Lagos and one would imagine with so many good schools in Lagos which are only meant for the rich while the poor who are by far the majority are languishing in bad schools with very unqualified teachers.

I base in Ebonyi state. Have only travelled out of Ebonyi state twice in the last one year, not exceeding 1 month in the two trips to Port Harcourt and Yenagoa.
