Earlier today, officers of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI), lawfully engaged in their duties in Yaba, were subjected to an unprovoked attack by personnel of the Nigerian Army under the directive of Major Adebiyi and Captain Gowon.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General T. Lagbaja, and the Director of Chaplain Services, Lt. Col. T.E. Ogbonyomi, for their swift and decisive intervention in support of civil authorities. Their leadership has ensured that KAI officers continue to carry out their responsibilities without further disruption, reinforcing the principle that military personnel are subject to the authority of civil governance within their jurisdictions.

We strongly condemn this unwarranted and unacceptable assault on officers executing their lawful duties. Moving forward, such acts will not be tolerated.

We remain committed to ensuring a #CleanerLagos by upholding safety and sanitation standards across the state.

Upon expiration of notices served, Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resource through the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps @LAGESCOfficial (KAI) removed illegal structures built by the officers of the Nigerian Army by the perimeter fence of Yaba College of Technology.

The Lagos State government reiterates it's commitment to zero tolerance to all kinds of environmental infractions in order to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all Lagosians.

Imagine if we were still in the military era. Animals in uniform.

What lawful duties were they engaged in? Agberoes in uniform "lawful" duties abi? These state sponsored thugs whose mandate it is to make life in Lagos hell for the struggling middle class. From KAI to LASTMA, to their kangaroo courts inside alausa where they auction off mid level cars to car dealers racket? Now they are demolishing shops of struggling middle class people, while people trade blatantly in the streets. Of course there is always a technicality to cite "the approved building plan bla bla bla".. But the technicality never applies to the very poor or the very rich, na only middle class. Same way, a danfo will break all traffic rules, but a camry will be pounced on technicalities, no matter how hard he tries to abide by traffic rules...
A street trader will criss cross the road, but a decently dressed office worker will be groped and humiliated by thugs for attempting to cross same street.

Nigerian soldiers are useless. Look at what thier mates in the Israeli army are doing bringing down two of the most dreaded terror organisations on earth in short order. You will never see where an Israeli soldier attacks a civilian.

Here in Nigeria, the bastards we call military men that can't secure the territorial integrity of the country, that are engaged in all manner of economic sabotage, crude oil bunkering and all manner of illegalities can only show strength against civilians. If the Nigerian army was even half a decent organisation, it would have won the war on terror to an extent.
