As a Ikwerre man, I ponder why Southern minorities should want to join Biafra? Knowing that ingroup vs outgroup tribalism is more of a feature of the human race than a defect, why should we trade purported Fulani hegemony for Igbo hegemony? In the old eastern Nigeria, regardless of what modern Igbos say, minority groups were marginalized. Today, people jump on Ikwerres for saying they’re not Igbos, but the Ikwerres that considered themselves Igbo back then, couldn’t even call themselves Igbos without being mocked. If you’re a southern minority that supports Biafra, you need to think twice. You’re trading one form of marginalization for another. Isaac Boro saw this 70 years ago. |

Kalvan50:This is more reason to support Biafra. I'm very confident that if a referendum is held today, we Igbos will vote to exit Nigeria The rest minorities who are comfortable with Nigeria will vote to remain in Nigeria Igbos exit, you guys remain, and never have to worry about Igbos again since they will be in a different country Anyone who is not comfortable with Igbos should support Igbos to get a seperate country, all this is happening because we all find ourselves inside a British colony called "Nigeria" |
| Re: Minority Groups In Biafra by Kobojunkie: 4:13pm On Oct 08, 2024 |
gidgiddy:There is no evidence for the statement in bold. Right there in Ibo land are many minority groups who have to this day remain marginalized in the Ibo equation. ![]() |
| Re: Minority Groups In Biafra by gidgiddy: 4:18pm On Oct 08, 2024 |
Kobojunkie:So if you feel marginalised by some people, why do you want to be with those people? Tobenjoy more marginalisation? If anyone feels uncomfortable with Igbos, they should support us to get a seperate country and we go our way. But if you don't support us to go our way, stop complaining about us. Nobody has it both ways |

Kobojunkie:How does the statement in bold require evidence? "This is more reason to support Biafra", how does it require evidence? U have a knack for taking things out of context and always claiming to be right. |
| Re: Minority Groups In Biafra by saxywale1: 4:21pm On Oct 08, 2024 |
They should leave Nigeria and go and become another marginalized minority in an Ibo country. Lol. |

gidgiddy:The problem is how do you divide Nigeria up so each of the at least 250 ethnic groups in the nation can get their own freedom and space to thrive? OP is here to inform you that his Ikwerre land is also contained in the area claimed by Biafra. How do you go about carving out his people's space— along with that of the other minority groups— from out of that region so their groups are not marginalized as they were back in the early 1960s? ![]() |

gidgiddy:Anybody who will support you needs to do so for his own gains. U don't make alliance with "support us", people who should support u should have their own interests satisfied, you asking for support should be aligning yourselves with different group of agitators, the irony is that lgb0s hold themselves so aIoof, feels so special and d0wngr∆de everyone that's why others scorn at u, there SW, SS as well as NC agitators, u SE agitators are align yourselves, always saying "people should support us", the Wole Soyinka that supported u without his interest ages ago, how are u lgb0s treating him right now? Is it pleasant? Anyone who will support u without his own interests is wasting his time. |

Kalvan50:Port Harcourt was out competing Lagos in commerce during the the days of regionalism. Abd this was the regional leaders in the east, primed the city for greater commerce. Ports in Portharcourt were booming. Portharcourt was without contest, the commercial hub of the east. Trans Amadi industrial Layout, Presidential Hotels and all that in Portharcourt, were built by MI Okpara. He started Obudu cattle ranch in Calabar. All these within 4 years, with cash from palm oil mainly grown in the hinterlands. What do you guys want from the igbo man? Portharcourt was thriving more than Aba, Onitsha, Owerri and Umuahia. Enugu was doing good as an administrative center of the region, but the whole action was in PH. What else do you want? |

These people are merely a bunch of narcissists who insist on declaring themselves representatives of an entire tribe without first seeking permission from any of the people in question. ![]() |

AwkaFinest:Can you tell us what and what they took to Enugu that were supposed to be in Portharcourt? I mean apart from things that were supposed to be in a regional capital. Road? Hospitals? Schools? Industrial layouts? Banks? I mentioned things that you didnt know were built by MI Okparas regional government. Mention things that were built in other parts of the southwest by Awo, apart from Ibadan. Mention things that were built in Borno, Gboko or Lokoja by Ahmadu Bello. The truth though was that resources were not big then and the regional government post independence, lasted for just 5 years plus. Go and read former governor Donald Duke of Cross River state. He has said a lot about Okparas achievements in agriculture. MI Okpara might be the best regional governor of the first republic. But how would you agree? Your worldview revolves around Awo and Awo alone. |

MadPolitician:Please provide a link showing that the Trans amadi industrial layout was conceived and built by Michael Okpara. History on the contrary informs that the industrial layout was the brain child of Lord Frederick Lugard and Lord Harcourt in 1912 but I am willing to learn if you can provide a credible link. Thanks. |

gidgiddy:You will respect the existing new geopolitcal boundaries that were created to check your claim and inheritance of the British adminstrative old Eastern Nigeria. At one point you castigate the British and the next minute you are basing your useless Biafra on the British drawn eastern Nigeria. You have been consistent in insulting the SS as a bonafide seperate entity . You have always had it in your mind that the entire SS belongs to Ibo land and never have you presented any valid claims to these lands. The creation of States and the geopolitical regions was meant to let you know your boundaries. All these Biafra rubbish won't have been an issue if you did not revisit annexing the entire SS again. Try your agitation without drawing maps on Microsoft paint that includes anywhere outside your five SE states and see if anyone will oppose it. |
| Re: Minority Groups In Biafra by gidgiddy: 6:54pm On Oct 09, 2024 |
ChiefJusticeFuc:The constitution of Nigeria does not recognise anything called geopolitical zones. However, Nigerians know where Igbos are Indigenous to, and should reach the conclusion that time has come to offer Igbos a referendum to exit this long monumentally failed British colony called Nigeria |
| Re: Minority Groups In Biafra by ChiefJusticeFuc: 6:58pm On Oct 09, 2024 |
gidgiddy:So you are still hell bent on recognising the SS as a permanently seperate entity. Is this not why your Ojukwu went to war in the first place? Is this not the reason for the Jan 15 coup towards thwarting a federal parliamentary intervention on the plight of minority people seeking to leave the old eastern region ? You see this your obsession and covetousness for the SS will lead you to another round of disaster. |
