I can see some people above saying he's a genius...just imagine. What's wrong with Nigerian self? How can you sing praise of someone who's going against the will of the common man. This is day light robbery.

Well, I think the Governor should be commented for being transparent enough to come up with, and made such a bill accessible to the people of Anambra, unlike some of his colleagues who are still taking a chunk of their local government allocation through the back door.

It's is good that he has clearly stipulated the percentage to be deposited into the state coffers from the local government allocation for the purpose of consolidating the state revenue available for running the affairs of the state. If his reasons are Jermain, and they are sure it for the benefit of the state, then i dont see nothing wrong with it is you ask me.
It is still much better than all those thieves who had stationed their party loyalist at the heim of their local government affairs, to coveretly hijack the local government allocation.

His genius only work on how to steal and corner state allocation but when it is time to do anything meaningful that will benefit the state, he will become a very dull man, common road he can not even construct properly. Tomorrow Igbo people will hail him as the best thing after slice bread, a thief in body and soul.

Finding a byway to bypass Supreme Court judgement.

Don't you have respect for Supreme court ?

The Governor should be sued to court to High Court, as well as the Anambra state House of Assembly who signed it discreetly.
It hasn't been signed yet!
It's still a bill!
I am hoping the opposition members in the house of assembly will unite and kick out that bill!

Criminals in power are always looking for leeways to subvert the laws and corner funds meant for infrastructural development.

What's this nonsense again?

Nigeria may never know true advancement until these crooks are thrown into the dustbin of history.

Everything is wrong with the bill and your analogy can be likened to an SS2 student bullying an SS1 student because the SS2 student was initially bullied by an SS3 student!
If the federal is doing same to the state through ECA,then the states governor s should take the FG to court to demand their legit funds...instead of trying to bully the LGA chairmen by demanding their allocation through a fraudulent bill!

Any governor that bypass supreme Court ruling on local government autonomy should be highly sanctioned! The allocation to those STATES should be withheld by federal government. They will play victim, they're the people that will create problems for other to follow

Undemocratic element.

Nigerian governors are the major forces impeding the growth of this country. Anything he does which is contrary to the constitution is null and void.

It is time the courts started punishing governors for trying to circumvent the law and wasting the time of the court for things already decided upon. What they fear is allocation. Let the punishment affect their allocation from the FG.

It will not work until both national and state electoral commissions are totally independent of the FG and state governors!
Why should one expect the LGA elections to be credible when the state independent electoral commission is financially subservient to the state government?
How do we expect credible elections in the country when INEC officials are selected and appointed by the president who belongs to a political party?

Local government councillors should also pass a bill to stop the local government from remitting such funds to state government.
When did Legislative bills begin to generate from the desks of LGA councillors?

My annoyance is even more with the animals liking this your comment. Like, una no go secondary school?

Charlie, watagwan?

This bill is a direct challenge to the landmark judgement of the SC granting full financial autonomy to the LGs.

Charlie wants to reap where he did not sow.

Like "authority stealing" disguised in some "legalistic" instruments of State law.

The LGs must challenge this proposed illegal law by Charlie and his rubber stamp Anambra State House of Assembly now!
