Hello Guys, Like I have been crying here every day, I am still unable to book an appointment after making payment via EFT since the 20th of September 2024. I have called customer care every day since this terrible thing happened, Created 11 ticked and 3 is on hold. I called today and I was given the US embassy number in Lagos to call them and ask for an appointment - 08014603400. The number doesn't go through. If anyone has had this problem and resolved it please let me know how you went about it. Mine is 3 weeks and counting |

dexydidi:🤠 * No one should dial that number, and people should be careful of that moniker @dexydidi 1. We have given the poster all best possible solutions , in which many people have been able to rectify. The rest people who are yet to find solution knows that it is a waiting game and patience. The poster called today, and he or she was given a new number to call ? USA embassy help-desk will never do that, they would rather re-directed you. PS: Here are the official ways to get through the USA embassy helpdesk ; CLICK TO TALK / CHAT https://www.usvisaappt.com/visa/country?country=NG OR +234 2013438900. 🙏 |

Hello, my mum’s visa has been issued but I am a bit confused about the pickup. I saw from here that I need to register on OIS and I have done that. I got a message on the page when I tried to book an appointment for collection that the passport is ready so I picked premium delivery at DHL Ibadan and chose an appointment time for today but I haven’t got any notification about payment and since selecting DHL, it now says that passport is not yet ready for pick up and the tracking number that was generated has not been working as it says invalid. I am not sure what to do now as the appointment is today and the passport is not yet ready and I have also not been asked to pay. Can anyone please help with next steps? |

dunmarie:🤠 * You are focusing on OIS , what about AVITS ? 1. When your VISA processing is completed, you will receive the documents back with the delivery option chosen during your application process. You may however, change your preferred document delivery address online until 11:59pm a day prior to your interview or through the call center between 9am to 5pm a day prior to your interview. 2. You cannot change your VISA pick up location again, and if at all you want to, you must go and sign up and do that on AVITS, and also go and do same on OIS. Both AVITS pick up location and OIS location chosen by you must tally. PS: Go and open a profile on AVITS and verify your VISA status first. That is your official and No-1 USA embassy electronic Résumé. 🙏 |

You keep contradicting yourself. You've repeatedly mentioned that calls are often answered by people who aren't trained to provide solutions and that one should keep calling until reaching someone from the embassy. So why wouldn't that apply here? You’ve shared both phone numbers and emails on this platform, and I, along with others, have tried calling and emailing. I never said the contact information was wrong or that anyone should be cautious of you. Don’t let the "thank yous" get to your head. If it’s a waiting game, I still have the right to update on my progress and ask others if they're facing similar issues. Someone mentioned their issue has been pending since August, and mine is approaching one month with no progress. Let’s be mindful of our words and show empathy in our responses. If you have the answer, just provide it without belittling others. OyoTunjiUSA: |

dexydidi:🤠 1. You opened a Nairaland account since 2010 - 14 years ago, and you are kidding yourself on a public forum. You are not real Mr man. You can use style to promote your business but stop implicating the USA embassy staffs. You can put them into problem. That number you posted is not from the embassy otherwise, screenshot evidence here . 2. I never contradicted myself. I will repeat it that, USA helpdesk staffs , and even consular officers are in various status, they have junior and senior staffs , supervisors , and the trainee staffs etc. And none of the aforementioned will give you a phone number outside or against USA embassy policy. What you did is implication. I don't need your thank you here . * I am 100% certain that you are not a VISA applicant. I am not against you, but don't implicate the embassy staffs. Use another idea. 👆 |

NorthernshoreTS:As a Nigerian, you can leave USA, all you need is just an evidence that you are a Nigerian, like Old/expired passport, birth certificate, state of origin, NIM, etc Just go to embassy and request for travel letter/certificate. |

Yes I have picked up my passport from OIS Abuja and I didn't receive a mail from them. I submitted on 13th of September and after 10 days, I tracked the visa status on the CEAC website and it was issued. I tried scheduling the pickup appointment on the OIS website but it kept saying my passport is not ready for pickup. after 2 days, I tried again (OIS website) and it said my passport is ready for pickup. I scheduled a pickup date and took a screen shot of the date cos I used my phone. surprisingly, I logged into the OIS website with my laptop later same day so I could print the pickup slip directly from the site rather than use the screenshot, but the message I kept on getting was your passport is not ready for pickup. I kept on trying for more than 2 days but got the same massage. on the day of my pickup appointment, I showed them the screenshot of the 1st message I got saying my passport is ready for pickup. the staff at OIS Abuja checked and my passport was there. so I picked up mine and my mom's own free of charge (I had a proxy letter for hers) Masorich: |

Thank you for responding. I made the changes after the visa processing. I forgot to mention that I also went to update delivery details on AVITS after changing it on OIS. This picture shows the information I get on AVITS when I try to track delivery there after updating the delivery details. OyoTunjiUSA:

Lanrebobokay:I attempted to book another appointment and then reached payment point and stopped. Then i tried entering the old payment reference code but it was not recognized Before then I had done a chat with that chat icon by the right end and followed the prompt and told them i had previously paid mrv fees. I didn't pay any new money on the new site. Did the registration yesterday and got a date in email this morning for 18th nextweek |

Good evening I've tried using my UK bank account to pay on AVITS and it declined twice. Is the only alternative to pay via a Nigerian bank transfer? Is it not possible to use a UK or EU bank card for this? |

So that you don't find yourself in problem Enter Firstbank with cash and pay. Belizean: |

jamanuka:Heads up no point choosing a DHL location We went to a DHL location and were redirected to the OIS office. Also the initial DHL location you chose in your application will not work. So when scheduling the passport pickup please choose an OIS location to avoid wasting your time and transportation. Cheers |

deouf25:Hello everyone, I have some questions and I would appreciate if you guys could be of help: 1.I just made a payment(application fee) at the First Bank few hours ago and I tried to enter the Bank reference number but on the site(AVITS) it says "Given payment receipt number does not exist"; do I have to wait for 24 hours for the payment to reflect before I can proceed with entering the bank details? 2. Which of the details on the deposit slip is the bank reference number to be used? Your clue or idea would be appreciated. Thank you. |

Thank you for responding. I even hope I filled in the form correctly because for me, the option of paying via First Bank did not even show. In fact, it took me straight to the visa/mastercard payment page without any alternative payment option. Do I just go to the branch with the naira equivalent of $185? Sorry about the question but this seems very confusing. deouf25: |

Did you even bother to try the number yourself to see what Truecaller says? You’re trying to bully me over opening a profile from 2010, yet your own profile claims you’ve been a US specialist since 2003, helping with POF and more. Are you sure you’re thinking clearly? I haven't tried to sell anything here, so don’t make baseless assumptions. Just because you’ve answered some questions doesn’t give you the right to speak disrespectfully to others. The thread would continue just fine without you, so don’t flatter yourself. If you were paying attention, you'd know I already shared my screenshot. You didn’t even check whether the number was valid before posting it yourself. Did anyone criticize you for that? You’re acting like a bully, but again, I’m not surprised—it's people like you who contribute to the state of this country. OyoTunjiUSA: |

I have a close relative who’s scheduled for interview in a few weeks from now on the B1/B2 visa application. Here’s the question: 1. Person inviting him is a citizen (served the USA govt and retired) hence the paychecks is wats submitted as POF. But does this relative here still need to submit bank statement as POF? He runs a family business and is a co-signatory to the account(not a salary job) 2. Wat stronger ties can he go along with aside from Land document to show that he’s not gonna overstay? 3. Does he need to go wit medical fitness result? Police character ? 4. Is it expedient to book a round trip flight ahead of the interview date to show you have no plans to overstay? I’ll like to read responses pls NB: person goin is a young man |

I made payment via transfer since on the 19th of September but anytime I log on it still takes me to the payment page, I have raised 3 tickets and they replied to all that the payment is reflecting on their end, I have tried using a different device, different browser and yet I still can’t go past the payment page. Please how do I go past it |
