We shall see who wins. I think every Nigerian should support whoever our very own son, Adesida is supporting. South Africa should not be allowed to smell that seat for obvious reasons. We know they don't value their women, therefore, for them to put forward a woman for the highly prestigious job of an AfDB president means they are taking Africa for ride.
Atiku for President, it was this same Alh Atiku you're supporting that fPMB sent to SA to lobby their president to back Dr Adesina. if the understanding SA has with NG is to support the candidates after SA backs after Dr Adesina has done his 2 terms both of which SA supported isn't it only right that Nigeria reciprocates that gesture? Why do you people find it easy to break gentleman's agreements? maybe I shouldn't even be surprised cos even written contracts' sanctity you don't respect.

If I'm the minister of foreign affairs this is how I go about it, I will call my SA and Senegal counterparts and Dr Adesina - SA we had an understanding with you that we'll back your candidate after we did 2 terms, Akin you know what you see in this Senegalese you want to succeed you, but SA has our right of first refusal!

You SA, we can support you for this or for the UN security council choose one, if you choose AFDB you have our Support and we'll need your support for UN security council cos we're interested too. If you choose the security council we'll support you but you will have to support the candidates we back for AFDB and other regional, continental and other multilateral bodies you have interests in. pls give us a reply in 2wks. thank you.

Senegal, we may back your candidate but you have to commit to doing very hard work to bring at least two of the brothers that left the ECOWAS to form Sahel alliance back to the fold.

Akin, we hear you, na you know wetin you see for this Senegal man however in your capacity what do you bring to the table in terms of geopolitics for the federal government? give us a response in 2wks. meeting adjourned.

After competence, the agreed rotational principle should be respected. African leaders will always want to cut corners around everything.

Who's better placed to further the prospects of the AfDB than the one who has already served as the Institution's Vice, garnering valuable experience in the process?!

That is not to say that as a Nigerian I have forgotten the recent disrespect these South Africans have paid us, but a deal is a deal.
They'll make simple processes complicated.

If we had a deal with the SAs in 2015, it should be honored.
We should only make them sweat if we want to extract specific concessions.
But the endgame should be honoring our agreements.

In geopolitics, we'd always need SA's cooperation.

Lol, you're funny 😂😂😂

Ok, as SA we'll take UNSC permanent seat for Africa. It's already in the bag because we're the only Africans in G20 (sole country) and founding member of BRICS. Thanks.

And 2nd biggest funder of AFDB even though we're a new nation 🇿🇦🏆🏆🏆

The report didn't say the Southafrican candidate is the VP of the AFDB, she's for a southafrican bank.

If Nigerians are ready to be rescued, this is the man they should vote in 2027. Adeshina could set things right. Tinubu should go...

The report says "she was". Read again, but this time, slowly.
