Govt wakes up in the morning and without court orders begins demolition of property of citizens.
Only in a dying Banana Republic.
Destroy $250 billion investment because of road in an era where road transportation is being replaced by rail.

Can they list the $250million properties that were destroyed?

Where?

I did an analyses on the Landmark properties some months back.

The reason I cite the Landmark example is that real estate investors would tend to inflate their loss to defraud the government.

The following estate was listed:

WinHomes Global Estate

(1) Was WinHome Global Estate constructed on reserved land?

(2) Did the real estate developer go through proper channels to acquire the property?

(3) One thing that completely bothers me is that when these people make claims, they hardly support their claims with evidence, like a quantity surveyor report attesting to the cost of what they claimed was destroyed.

(4) What is the worth of the real estate company to be controlling properties worth $250million?

(5) When your rights are violated, you go to court, not go to the media. Why don't you go to court? If you don't trust the court, why did you trust whoever you trusted when you acquired the properties? Some entities would try to defraud the government and the public by inflating their apparent loss. We saw how Landmark did this and have not sued till today!

(6) Who did you acquire the properties from? What was the history of ownership?
I do not blame you....I blame the the deluded Igbo one nigerianists who refuse to learn from history!

At the end c of t he day only a remnant shall be able to divest their estate portfolios and recoup 100% of what they put in!

Leave Lagos for yoruba people una no go hear!

ahah this is funny, well truth in it though, if you go to an new area and see brand new buildings and a very old building, just know the owners of the old buildings sold all the lands, this narrative is increasingly becoming the truth in most situations from East to west.

Did they do a good due diligence on this coastal road or the intention was to deceive the gullible ones as usual?
They did, but I think with time, they will be compensated These properties are only in Lagos at the moment, the road is going fru south and the south east, so there is more properties to be destroyed, I don't even know yet if my own house in PH is on the rout ,this job will go on for more than 20 years as in the case of the East West road..

As I am typing this, some igbos are still investing in Lagos. Some igbos are still busy buying property in island and mainland.

The east needs a real change of mindset and policy. Imagine the jews investing like this in Gaza strip and crying out blood when their investments are demolished or destroyed.

That's the case of igbos investing in Lagos
