Is the Ministry of Petroleum not part of Nigeria government?

I keep on wondering what Tinubu is urging his minister to echo out as his achievements.

Thank God, it happened in my life time, we would have thought we missed great opportunities if Tinubu and Buhari were not allowed to rule this country.

Since I was born, I haven't seen a government worse than what we have now, very insensitive wicked, drug baron
Y does the new govt always end up worse,?

If we dont answer, tinubus replacement will be worse.

The price of oil in the international market is now around $100 per barrel. That is the price of our crude oil, not refined oil. The refined oil is what we buy from the international market. The price of refined oil is now around $130 per barrel. That's the price of the refined oil.

So, if we are buying refined oil at $130 per barrel, that means we are buying it at about N1,000 per litre.

If we are buying it at about N1,000 per litre, we are paying about N3,000 at the petrol stations, and that means we are paying about N3,000 at the petrol stations, and that means we are paying about N3,000 at the petrol stations.

If we are buying it at about N1,000 per litre, that means we are paying about N3,000 at the petrol stations.
Since when did we last buy "refined oil" from abroad.....

Has Dangote and other local refiners suddenly close shops??

The minister of Petroleum who is the one overseeing the NNPCL and who happened to be the President of the Country is engaging in crass deceit and you are enabling him.

Your case serious

If truly you are a Yoruba, shame on you. Yorubas are mostly educated and reasonable.

In the so-called western world you guys are always quick to reference, market forces determine the price at the pump station. Nigeria runs a capitalistic economy, and she’s rightly allowing market forces determining the cost.

Do you even know how much it cost to produce a litre of petrol? The era of 170 naira per litre is forever gone. Right now, there is an increase to every litre of petrol all over the world.

So, what the heck are you talking about here?
You dey mind that parable007?

Why must we buy crude oil at international price when we re oil producing?

People are really hungry

Even the APc guys I know are not even shy to request money from me this days
People are hungry all over the world but they have a functional welfare system which is run by strict tax laws. So, the government supports those in need in minimal ways.

In Nigeria, if they want to widen the tax net , you will complain. Do you know US govt collects tax on tip? Let me make it clear , if you go to a restaurant, after eating, you tip the guy who serves you like 10 dollars. Do you know that guy will pay tax on that 10 USD. Imagine the hell that will descend if Nigeria govt does that.

You can’t have a robust benefit system without strict tax laws.

No problem at all, just make sure you have a Yoruba and/or Muslim friend or relative as they get fuel at a special discounted price. These high costs are only for Atiku and PO supporters. Abi no be so? grin

Every Nigerian is just even too weak to fight anymore..just last year we were buying fuel for 197. Now 1350 does this even make sense? I'm a Yoruba but to be very honest, shame on all Yorubas especially the ones who fought for Tinubu to be president. I HAVE ALWAYS KNOWN THAT TINUBU WILL MAKE A MESS BUT I DIDN'T BELIEVE IT WILL BE THIS FAST AND THIS HARD. LIKE WHY? WHAT WILL HE ACHIEVE WITH ALL THESE? IS HE NOT THE PRESIDENT AND YET THE MINISTER OF PETROLEUM?
Ever since he came in it's been one problem to the other.
we got it wrong forgetting that BAT had lost in Lagos and like Coups in the 80s would raise hopes of a change only to later find out that the plotters were sold out.....
PO would have empathetically managed this situation.....
It's not about the Youruba, but I dare say that those that chose him out of racial or tribal context can suck his ruining of our dreams down their throats.....
next is the price of the CFA ....$ is long gone

Is like you are not in this country. Oando owned by Tinubu purchased NNPCL few weeks ago.
NNPCL is owned by Tinubu not Government
Please try and understand the principles of corporate governance as well as merger and acquisition of companies.
Tinubu's govt is a failure, clueless and completely useless as far as management of the economy is concerned.
But it is a big lie that NNPC is owned by Tinubu. Oando does not own NNPC. Do your research very well.

It is less than 3 saudi riyal for a litre of fuel in saudi Arabia. In naira less than 900naira. So you see that we blacks are bunch of wicked beings. Compare saudi minimum wage to ours, you will see that everything is wrong with this nation and people.

SUBSIDY IS GONE!!!!!

I WANT IT TO SINK IN!!!

THE ERA OF CHEAP AND SUBSIDIZED FUEL IS GONE!!!!

IS IT A PAINFUL DECISION...YES!!!

IS IT THE BEST WAY FORWARD FOR NIGERIA AT THE MOMENT....YES!!!!!!

I am writing in block letters so that you all stop deceiving yourselves in this country. Because even as it is Nigeria still has one of the cheapest fuel prices in the world.

LEGENDHERO, maybe you can help me explain further.

Ogbeni sharap.
Tinubu is not making any mess. You should even thank him for having the political will to take this route to pulling Nigeria out of the perennial problems she has always been facing. This is our true situation as a country and no country can make any progress if they continue to live on fake life that Nigeria's former presidents have subjected the country to. Or what do u expect? That fuel and dollar subsidies should remain? What Obasanjo, Yaradua, Jonathan, even Buhari didn't have courage to do bringing the country out of conundrum is what this man called Tinubu has done in less than few years he took over power. Things will initially scatter like this but eventually it will find its balance. The backlash that will follow the initial pains is what former presidents were avoiding not that they didn't know this Tinubu's approach is the best strategy. We should then see Tinubu as the true saviour not the other way round. He will eventually succeed, Lagos is his testimony.
You will live long
