People are hungry all over the world but they have a functional welfare system which is run by strict tax laws. So, the government supports those in need in minimal ways.

In Nigeria, if they want to widen the tax net , you will complain. Do you know US govt collects tax on tip? Let me make it clear , if you go to a restaurant, after eating, you tip the guy who serves you like 10 dollars. Do you know that guy will pay tax on that 10 USD. Imagine the hell that will descend if Nigeria govt does that.

You can’t have a robust benefit system without strict tax laws.

What has that got to do with the subject matter If u accuse Tinubu, a private individual of stopping Jonathan, a sitting president and commander in chief from removing fuel subsidy in 2012 and now that he is the president, no one in the whole of Nigeria could stop him from removing subsidy, despite the different days of rage protests and Russian flags, then he is the one who is fit to be president, and not that little-livered Jonathan. I'm a Yoruba but to be very honest, shame on all Yorubas especially the ones who fought for Tinubu to be president.
