Tinubu is really trying his best to fix the country. Nigeria was already on life support before he came onboard. Lets give him more time.

What is the connection between fuel prices and Naira value. If any, higher fuel prices should reduce forex demand and thus strengthen the Naira.

We all will turn to students of statistics and data interpretation. For this government, we will learn practical statistics while living with the benefits of our choices.

Slight reversal of floating policy will strengthen naira to an extent

Floating of naira & removal of fuel subsidy is killing the economy
there is no economy in the world that doesn't survive on subsidy, subsidy is good

I think at this point Nigerians should start to question if indeed they’re collectively being punished for past transgressions! They’re seeing shege on biblical levels….almost akin to the plagues visited on Egypt! huh

Which useless report is this? Full of anonymous reports that cant be substantiated!

Exchange rate can cause the price of petrol which is dependent on it to fluctuate.

How is increase in price of petrol increasing demand for forex!? It should mean less, as people drive less. The roads in Lagos have been a bit freer in recent months and folks drive less.

We better all learn to conduct business online. And make money passively or online too.

Naira devaluation, increase in the price of petroleum products, and general inflation are caused, in part at least, by external loans.

That ship has sailed unfortunately. People are now wiser. Reversing the naira floating will make people to buy up dollar and keep.

He really didn't think up that policy before implementing on his swearing in.

He should focus on petrol pricing. Add petrol subsidy and put men in place to check smuggling.

Personally I doubt if smuggling of petrol was such a big deal as it was portrayed before subsidy removal. But still, tightening up our borders will never be a waste of resources.

■ It's called running round a circle..Nigerians are still enjoying it. When they have had enough, no be person go tell them.
Still nobody in this government has been able to explain in simple English (they don't even bother to) how devaluing your currency would create jobs and then improve the conditions of the people.. because that is the biggest problem the people face that we don't talk about enough.. how has devaluing the Naira from 450 to 1650 created any jobs in the last 17 months. Rather it's been hardships upon hardships.. penury upon penury.. job losses upon job losses..
■ the IMF people want you to devalue before they borrow you money because that's their only guarantee of a stronger currency than your own.. it's essentially to keep you poorer. And over here, it's a double-edged sword when you add stealing.. Do the Nigerian people really deserve this..🤔
I still don't understand why those monkies devalued the Naira. lipsrsealed

2. If you read the IMF recommendation to Nigeria, devaluation was not even at the top of the list. So why did Nigeria refuse to implement everything else but go straight to devaluing the Naira? IMF is not at fault for what took place under this or any other administration in the last 25 years. These morons in office are 100% to blame for their foolish decision. undecided

discusant:
The government's promise of stabilisation of Naira exchange rate against the Dollar at the entrance of fuel from Dangote refinery vanishes in thin air.
How can the government stabilize its economic when it is practically produces nothing but imports most of what its over 200 million population uses every single day? We all knew the promise was a lie from the beginning but Nigerians love being lied to. undecided

Think about it! How can just one company stabilize an entire economy of over 200 million people? It wasn't that Dangote planned to hire at least 50 million Nigerians or something along those lines, so how could it have been true? undecided
