The Acting National Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Iliya Damagum , has come under criticism over an alleged meeting with President Ahmed Tinubu in London.

Middlebelt PDP Youth Support Group in a press statement signed by Comrade Ogwu Abel, said the acting national chairman is been used by Forces in the All Progressive Congress (APC) to fustrate and cause crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

"We are aware of the plot to distablise the PDP ahead of 2027 and it is unfortunate that the acting national chairman of our great party leading this agenda".

"It is not longer news, he has been seen on several occasions acting against the interest of the party and have continually taking side with the enemies of the party".

"At a time Nigerians are been pooverised by the APC , he is not forthcoming on issues or taking a stand for the masses of Nigeria which is what the PDP stands for, He is silent and have now chosen to meet secretly with the president to perfect the APC's Plan".

"It is now clear why those who have clearly practice anti-party can not be sanctioned, we are calling on the removal of the acting chairman as we no longer have confidence in his leadership. we are calling on the stake holders to act as soon as possible".

"Nigeria is in dire need of a Messiah and with the likes of Damagun piloting the affairs of the party, the PDP has no chances come 2027". the group said.
