I am not a member. I am a true Winner and a disciple. Served as unit head in a foreign mission as well. Was part of those who built one of the new churches that started in 2017 and now a blossoming branch. There are loads of guys who worked with us who gave their sweat and blood for the ministry.

Mike, who worked in a block industry for months to purchase equipment with his own money. Now an owner of several block industries and at least 2 houses. Oluwa, who furnished the whole church with her money. A retired Naija soldier who used to walk the streets evangelizing Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are many I cannot count, including those who rehabbed many Naija Yahoo boys and runs girls who were languishing in prison.

These are the real people who put in their effort to ensure that God's Word was heard through that young Winners satellite church with tangible proofs. Their lives have all changed for the better. These people are people I worked with and I salute them. When I left that country to Barbados, I cried. These are the real Winners, not those who claim they are members.

I have nothing to do with people who claim to be "members" but who have probably never even read The Mandate.

You are a rebel. Like Korah, you will perish except you repent. I have nothing to do with people like you or anyone else who is a winner by sticker, not a Winner at heart. Church is a mixed multitude. There are many MEMBERS, but very few DISCIPLES.

You obviously have mental issues.

On the other hand, Bishop Aremu who joined the ministry full-time after serving as an accountant in secular organizations is the only one among the 7 Bishops consecrated in November 1999 at Garden of Faith, Kaduna that have remained till date.

I really will like to know the names of the other 6 bishops who left the ministry and where they are today.

Did they fall by the way side?

Open new business centers (aka churches) where they would be CEOs?

What happened to them really?
1. Bishop George Adjeman
2. Bishop Dayo Olutayo
3. Bishop Joe Ebhomien
4. Bishop Dickson Olorunda
5. Bishop Mike Afolabi (Deceased)
6. Bishop Bolu Martins

It's not likely. Abioye is more likely to be a preacher at large.

You are sitting on a very long thing. His son, David Oyedepo jr, is currently being groomed to take over. He even preaches in one of the Sunday services at Ota.
Same oyedepo Jr who is running his own separate church with a separate name?

My Brother, if you are Christian, you will not be angry and threatenedme with death as punishment. Ask yourself, which do you believe, Mandate or Bible?

All those you have listed above succeeded not because they mopped the church floor but by grit and determination to succeed. Because for every 4 members you listed above , there are thousands of other members who couldn't make it pass 20k a month 'achievement' who not invested sweat and blood but all of themselves.

Brother continue to worship man.
Long time ago, I have conditioned myself to listen to men to comprehend and audit their motive.

I will never condem you for your stand, please don't threaten me with 'Perish' again. Peace.
Guy, I have been in churches since 1983. I have been around and seen all sorts.
The emphasis of my post was not on the success of those workers...I barely gave that one sentence each.
I focused on the service they did...you conveniently neglected that aspect. If you think it is easy, get that involved while still running your life, work, business and family. You will see that it is not for children or for the mockers and children of hate all over Nairaland.

If you think I worship men, I will tell you that you do not know me.

You don't know me and I don't know you. But I know your type and I want nothing to do with them.

You're the one being ignorant and naturally stubborn and adamant?

You claim oyedepo Jr is being groomed to take over? Same man who left the church to start his own personal ministry is the man being groomed to take over?
Pretend to be wise at least.

If you even had a little bit of commonsense to do some research, you would know that Bishop Oyedepo has 4 children, 2 of whom are males:
- 40-year old David Jnr who was in the London church before recalled to Ota.
- Isaac who used to pastor the Lokogoma branch where Bishop Abioye is retiring from, before he was posted to the US, then back to Ota before setting up his own youth ministry.

Who is the ignorant one?

You just typify the average Nigerian: uneducated even though they went through school, and without the ability to do any kind of reading or research to simply gather facts on a matter.

That's why politicians keep on kicking you all around like a rugby ball.

When they retire, they become elders helping in teaching doctrines and resolving issues but not full pulpit activities

If Abioye is out, who is the empire being handed to? I hope Oyedepo is not thinking of giving it to his wife because it will be the decline of the ministry.
I'm honestly surprised. The likes of Abioye should be his lifetime partner in the work. Retiring Abioye is like hearing that the Bishop himself has been retired based on "the rules of the mandate."

In RCCG and I believe that it's almost the same for Living Faith, retired senior pastors only stop being permanently in charge of parishes. They are assigned other roles like going from location to location to enforce doctrine of the church, resolving issues and other things that the GO might assign to them. They are regularly invited by pastors in charge to anchor programs etc.

In RCCG the age is 70 years. They cannot set up their own churches.

One thing I'm very sure of, is that Bishop Oyedepo is a very wise person, he will never do anything that will bring the ministry down. And he will not do anything intentionally against the will of God
Re: Bishops David Abioye And Thomas Aremu Retire From Living Faith Church by prizeless(m): 1:52am On Oct 11, 2024
They're are not retiring to leave but take up other roles other than Pastoring a Church. So they retire into those roles. Do you understand now?
