Wrong assertion, he is not out, but redeployed to other roles other than Pastoring a Church. This is an official celebration of retirement as a Pastor of a Church.
SocialJustice:
If Abioye is out, who is the empire being handed to? I hope Oyedepo is not thinking of giving it to his wife because it will be the decline of the ministry.

It is called operating procedures. An organisation or any individual without a functional operational procedure is set for catastrophe

Stop saying what you dont know just because you read an online headline. They are only reassigned to other roles other than Pastoring a Church

My Brother, if you are Christian, you will not be angry and threatenedme with death as punishment. Ask yourself, which do you believe, Mandate or Bible?

All those you have listed above succeeded not because they mopped the church floor but by grit and determination to succeed. Because for every 4 members you listed above , there are thousands of other members who couldn't make it pass 20k a month 'achievement' who not invested sweat and blood but all of themselves.

Brother continue to worship man.
Long time ago, I have conditioned myself to listen to men to comprehend and audit their motive.

I will never condem you for your stand, please don't threaten me with 'Perish' again. Peace.
I align with your side of the argument. Scripture supercedes any mandate. A mandate that reserves lifetime office for the founder, but retires men who built the church with him from the start, is one that must be called to question!

Kai. These guys are ruthless.

From boldly scamming people of tithes for decades ...

To scheming their loyalists out of the chance to succeed them.

After dangling the dreams of successorship infront of them....

You dropped retirement age from 60 to 58.

I can see " believers" I.e. 🧠 dead mumus still defending this obviously Machiavellian move.

Haba. You've to be blind not to see thus glaring act of strategic displacement.

If these 2 guys had known this was what Oyedepo had planned for 2024, I doubt if they would have asslicked for decades.

Mehn I don't know why most people read to comment, instead of reason and ask sensible questions.

Some people have taken their time to explain what the retirement means, yet many are still typing rubbish.

Congratulations Bishop David Abioye,I was invited to living faith Kaduna so many years ago and he was the person preaching that day.He is a fantastic orator and honestly he is someone who will make you want to worship God.

But then again,so that ministry cannot be handed over to him because he is not blood abi.LFF should just hope he doesn't open his own ministry because he will split their congregation.

Wishing you the very best .Congratulations.

The only man who was perceived to take over from him have finally been pushed out.
Now the stage is fully set for his son to take over from him.
When you say Church is family business, those who forgot their brain 🧠 at home will come after you.

Just talking anyhow. The rules are clear in the church's constitution known as the Mandate. Even Papa Oyedepo, having reached the age of 70 years, will exit the scene as the overall head. He will be in a supervisory role. Adeboye did same in Redeemed some years back. Many pastors who headed regional offices of the church like Titus Olayemi Oludairo have retired since.

The leadership is now tenured.
With this development i hope when pastors with great anointing beginning to retire voluntarily to form their own, the church wouldn't complain? Because not everyone would want to work in a particular company till retirement.

I pity many nigerians who suspend their thinking faculties and don't use their brains just because they are members of Nigerian churches. For most of these organizations, the modus operandi is "Family Business". The churches are run like a profit driven organization. The pastor then invest the profit from the church to other business ventures and then hands over the church, businesses and assets to his biological son.

Not a member but I salute and admire Bishop Abioyes loyalty over the years.

Lots of wonderful ministers in different churches like that who understand that not everyone is meant to be a GO and they serve God in a ministry supporting whoever God has placed there.

That aside, I think it just means they won't be pastoring a branch they would be very much around.

The two Bishops are about 65years each and yes they are aware of the Mandate and well prepared for the retirement.
I believe they will both become Preacher at larger, being invited across Nations. They could start an online Ministry too. The space is so large for them.

If I say church in Nigeria is a business. You will come for my head. What's an empire? A business organization right?

Why did Paul who was a great pillar to the Christianity movement, why did he not hand over the church to his seeds?

Starting ministry at which age. Bishop oyedepo should have given the honorary privilege to those bishops that started with him life time ,just te same way like the founder. Hearing that someone like Bishop Abioye retiring, sound some how, because he is more like a co-founder, so how is he different from other upcoming bishops?

Congratulations to Bishop David Abioye and Bishop Thomas Aremu
Living Faith members will never forget your impacts in our lives
Congratulations to Bishop David Oyedepo for leading this generation from people
of little faith to giant faith, it's speaking in our lives.
Congratulations to the entire WINNER's FAMILY!!!

For those that are crying more than the bereaved!
Go and study bible, priesthood is always family lineage, unless the children of the priest refused to follow God.
God always prepare a Samuel for His Eli incase Hophni and Phinehas will misbehave.
However Pst. David and Pst Isaac are the best children anyone will ever which to have in life.

I will like to congratulate the next generation of WINNERS!!!
WHY?
Anointing on the leader of the next generation of winners Pst David Oyedepo is far above this generation!
Anyone that have encounters with him when he was our Pst in London Church will testify to my statement !!!

Congratulation to all that have accepted Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and Saviour (Greatest Achievement in life) and if you have not , Please it's not religion issues, Jesus is the only way to heaven and no other way!!!

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Board of trustees for church?
There is no church without a board of trustees. It's important for continuity. And if you must register your church with the Nigerian government, you also need one. On paper, it is not a one man business.

Likely a political retirement, the mandate is not Bible.

That is the best thing that can happen to any church. There can only be one founder. Every other person leaves after 4 or 8 years.

I expect the RCCG to adopt the same model.
