Just talking anyhow. The rules are clear in the church's constitution known as the Mandate. Even Papa Oyedepo, having reached the age of 70 years, will exit the scene as the overall head. He will be in a supervisory role. Adeboye did same in Redeemed some years back. Many pastors who headed regional offices of the church like Titus Olayemi Oludairo have retired since.

The leadership is now tenured.
The thread said only the founder has the privilege of a lifetime of service. Nothing about supervisory role there.

I doubt it. Bishop Oyedepo has billions in personal investments. He was given an actual gold mine for instance.
l agree that Oyedepo is a billionaire in Naira and also has millions of dollars in cash but the gold mine story is it correct, because I Heard of it in the past, where is the gold mine located in Nigeria or South Africa smiley

They don’t get it. The gifts and callings of God are for a lifetime. They will keep speaking until you stop speaking or contact can no longer be made with the carrier of the gift. Elisha’s bones raised the dead! Keneth Hagins books still minister Grace long after his death. Get understanding.
l agree with your post, Kenneth Hagin is one of my Fathers of Faith cool

shocked Sincerely wish the two retiring bishops well. I have listened to them a lot in the past. They are great individuals.
I believe the retirement is an opportunity for them to start their own outreaches, one from which no man will retire them from.
I feel it’s unfair, the retirement, but wot do I know? Am not a Christian!
Intresting u are not a cgristain but ur comment shows maturity than those who claim to be christain... G od bless u

The only comment I'm delighted to tag.

May God in His mercy encourage our hearts and shine his divine light. Sometimes I get more confused and discouraged by some of these stuffs flying around in Christian domains

I am sorry to say this , I dont like to meddle into Religion topic. I am a winner , I don't think its a good development.
I love Bishop Abioye very well and he commands respect. I hope this is not going to be a twist.
Most Living Faith pastors will not be faithful to the church , knowing fully well they have years to work for , thus making them to find means of enriching themselves first. I dont like this development.
Aksally:
This is not Christian Ministry, this is business.
His son takes over, because he has less than 5 active health service years left

No doubt, Abioye will take more than half of both Goshen and Durumi members with him.
And watch for Abioye's ideology, it will distinct from the mother ministry's.

May we all be be free from men manipulation call religion

I really don't care if he has it or not.. But Bishop Oyedepo is a blessed man.. Blessed by God... His dedication, devotion and commitment to things of the kingdom is unheard-of. A die hard lover of God not beginning today the proofs are there..

As wealthy and comfortable as the man. he hardly will stay in his office every week without going out to evangelize on the streets on foot.. Why won't God bless him.. When most general overseer will sit down in a rolling chair and be issuing command.

I learnt from this great man things I would have never know In my entire life alongside Abioye and Aremu by the grace of God. I am proud to say am a student who subscribe to his tenets and teachings irrespective of were my life is today.

Retiring Bishops at 58 when they should be getting more knowledge and equipped to run the house of God? While the founder has lifetime allocation. I think he's scared these bishops would get too much influence and power to challenge or question some of his doing hence the need for him to vet them earlier

But Abioye is not complaining about it, even if what saw is correct, Abioye seems to be happy with all the changes going on with the Winners Family otherwise he would have l left long ago, l think the Winner's church wants to avoid the unpleasant experience that happened to IDAHOSAS CHURCH, CCC church,Tb Joshua etc and several other Ministries in different parts of the world were there was no laid down succession plan and after the demise of the Founder, crises erupted sad
My brother, no need to explain. Only Oyedepo has children who can step in. Shebi Aremu doesn't have children and Abioye doesn't have sons. Well done sir.

All of us know what we are doing. All of us.

what you forget is this is church hence a spiritual matter.. If you are truly a winner you will know better that Bishop cannot Just get up and take decisions... He hears from God before doing anything.

A case is when he said he saw a need in Japan as he was coming back that they need to cite a church there and was already drawing the map and was rebuked by the holy ghost.. "that even though there is a need there you are not the one am sending".

Oyedepo is not just an ordinary everyday man... He is a spiritual man deeply rooted.

Whoever believes that God is involved in any church activity is a MUMU
So if God is not involved in any church activity then were is God now Involve! Politics, movie or better still sport.

A place were the word of God,(Bible),is used you are saying God is not involve there perhaps he is more involved with APC and thier manifesto

To think you went ahead to even call those who believe God is involve there mumu... Shows your level of ignorance, foolishness and mental disorder.

You need help.

You are sitting on a very long thing. His son, David Oyedepo jr, is currently being groomed to take over. He even preaches in one of the Sunday services at Ota.
You don't know much about Living Faith by saying DO Junior even preaches in one of the Sunday Services at Ota . That is not news. He has been preaching there for a long time. There was a time he was the Resident Pastor. David Oyedepo Junior has his calling.

The HOLY SPIRIT was telling me few days ago up till yesterday morning that just like Isaac his younger brother, David Oyedepo Junior was chatting course for ministry outside Living Faith Church with the various Crusades he had held and various invitations from other Churches and ministries where he had
ministered.

Those who know me when I was using my account (babaolofin) should understand that I don't just talk about HOLY SPIRIT without revelation. In that meditation few days ago, I was thinking about all those postings that brought David Abioye to Lagos and back to Abuja. I was thinking about posting of Bishop Aremu to Abuja at his age when mummy (his wife) is already thinking about Grandma ministry, the same is applicable to Bishop David Abioye's wife after 44 years of knowing Bishop Oyedepo. It is very important to note that Bishop Oyedepo was 26 years when Bishop Abioye met him.

Both Bishop Abioye and Bishop Aremu families need to have a permanent place of settlement . They can travel on invitations for ministerial
assignments but not on posting or transfer.

From what is happening, David Oyedepo Junior under the Covenant will take over the Ministry. Only the person that carries the Covenant that established the Ministry can move the Ministry forward. Celestial Church case should be a lesson to all.

Ministers ought not to leave office in the manner that the civil service does..
They ought to continue serving until old age, unless there is a health concern..
Why is Bishop Oyedepo not retiring if you know what I mean?

Did you read the article?

You saw keywords like Vice President, Board of Trustees...yet you believe that it is all about God. It is a business entity, a corporation that is. The church is no different from Zenith bank except that the latter is in the business of deposit/withdrawal while churches are only in the business of deposits only. No withdrawal button for members.

Stop capping nansense. Big big grammar with no point exactly

I am not a member. I am a true Winner and a disciple. Served as unit head in a foreign mission as well. Was part of those who built one of the new churches that started in 2017 and now a blossoming branch. There are loads of guys who worked with us who gave their sweat and blood for the ministry.

Mike, who worked in a block industry for months to purchase equipment with his own money. Now an owner of several block industries and at least 2 houses. Oluwa, who furnished the whole church with her money. A retired Naija soldier who used to walk the streets evangelizing Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are many I cannot count, including those who rehabbed many Naija Yahoo boys and runs girls who were languishing in prison.

These are the real people who put in their effort to ensure that God's Word was heard through that young Winners satellite church with tangible proofs. Their lives have all changed for the better. These people are people I worked with and I salute them. When I left that country to Barbados, I cried. These are the real Winners, not those who claim they are members.

I have nothing to do with people who claim to be "members" but who have probably never even read The Mandate.

You are a rebel. Like Korah, you will perish except you repent. I have nothing to do with people like you or anyone else who is a winner by sticker, not a Winner at heart. Church is a mixed multitude. There are many MEMBERS, but very few DISCIPLES.
