It is good that you are afraid... let that fear guide in in this tinubu era or else you might end up a murderer— all those who greedily had kids they could not fend for from the start only for some or all of them to end up dead at the end as a result of the lack are pretty much murderers in my book. undecided

It is really a disaster.
I earn well but as I telling you, I can't fuel my car from house to work.

Wat type of evil is this?
One can't visit people, can't eat.
Rationing of meat. Days without a drop of meat in soup.

Oh God,wat kind of leaders do we have

There is no evil here but basically the consequence of the choices the Nigerian people continue to make for themselves. What is happening today is as endorsed/allowed by the Nigerian people — the majority. There is no God — All the many Nigerian deities don't seem perturbed by the problem — to do anything about it, most likely because it is after all according to the choosing of the people of Nigeria for themselves. grin

Oga rest

You are privileged to have Land and better and secure locations

Other's don't even if they may have the means and interest to do so
The guy above you called me a clown. Let me open your eyes because you show more intelligence than he does.

Everyone has opportunity. Many cannot see it when it comes.
Nobody dashed me land. God opened my eyes to how men waste money on drink and women in Nigeria. I had a friend who blew N2m in two days of clubbing in 2011. Just thirteen years back.

If you want to get the perspective, I will use just 10% of that money, N200,000, to do a calculation.

N200,000 got a piece of land in an estate the same year. Today, that same land is N10m.
We bought land in an area of Lekki close to Dangote refinery in 2018 or thereabout for less than N1m. I leave you to check the value of that property today.

Now let me break down how N200,000 in 2011 would have been consumed pursuing worldly pleasures.

You go to a club and order drinks. Most in Abuja have a minimum spending benchmark for entry. Let us say N20,000.
You pick up one of those daughters of eve. She is with a friend or two. You invite them over. They also will take drinks. You want to impress. You order drinks for all and go another round. It carries on from 10pm to 1am. By the time you are done, you are down N50,000.

You decide it is time to make a move. You negotiate N20,000 or N30,000 for her to spend the night. If you have crazier desires, you take two and negotiate for N50,000 for two. N100,000 down already.

You need a venue. You pick a hotel for N10,000 to N20,000. Remember, we are using 2014 prices. N120,000 don go.

You like what you got. You decide to order breakfast. You are probably down another N10,000. She may ask for transport. You can drop N5,000 or N10,000. You have blown N130,000 in an overnight spend.

Do it twice a week, and your N200,000 is not only gone, but needs augmentation.
I know people who have made this their regular lifestyle. I do not want to use prices of exotic places like Transcorp, where as at 2010, you needed $50 (yes, in US Dollars) as the minimum entry to enter the casino. I was in Transcorp that month GEJ was sworn in. Mama Peace was to be hosted there. Almost the who is who in Naija was around and the place was like a mad house. Come and see women of all shapes and sizes in all specs...including whites and arabs. Now imagine a young man who wants to fit into this category of people and imagine the kind of spending you need to do on top of nothing. I saw a lot of "fake-it-till-you-make-it" in action. Buhari's coming reset many of those people to factory default.

It was a long time ago I made up my mind that drinking and womanizing was not a pathway to enter if you are to make anything. I saw Naija's situation of today as far back as 2014 by divine revelation and everything I have done since then prepared me for it. Today, I am insulated.

The kind of planning and work it takes to get to that point as an average guy with no family inheritance and average earnings is not something you just do on a hunch. It is not luck. It is not coincidence. It is a function of working with God Almighty to prepare you for the economic holocaust that is sweeping the earth. Just that bad governance and corruption has taken Naija's own to another level.

U are saying choosing as if the masses have a say. Leaders are hoist on people by force.
Did southern Kaduna chose elrufai dat punished them for 8yrs.
We ve ways of pushing issues by blaming people for elections dat was forced on

1. The masses have always had a say and they still do since they have the numbers, something that the servants they elected into power will never have. undecided

2. Bullocks! There is no record of southern Kaduna ever calling for the immediate impeachment of El Rufai since according to you they did not choose him for 8 years. So, in essence, southern Kaduna by refusing to call for his immediate impeachment passively accepted and chose El Rufai for 8 years. undecided

3. Stop deluding yourself.. the people are to blame for allowing the injustice, corruption, bad governance to continue on ravaging their lives and that of their children. The people would rather live and breath one more day than stand and cut out the rot from its very root even if it cost them their lives in the process, at least to safeguard the future for their children. undecided

This is giving you and those of you who still believe prayers work for Nigerians a real reality check. undecided

The reason you are trying to escape a country that is known as the most religious in the world — an average Nigerian says more prayers than works towards achieving his goal each day — has to do with the fact that prayer does not work for Nigerians are Nigerians have hard to pretend for over 60 years now. The moment you accept this, you free yourself and are better able to work towards guaranteeing the success of your goal by your efforts. undecided

Don't mind them.
Breeding kids like rabbits and if you tell them to stop, they will heap insults on you and tell you, are you the one taking care of them?
Are we complaining or have we come to you for help? Mind your business.
Unfortunately, the actions of the poor, people who don't plan as a way of coming to hunt or hurt those who plan their own life.
Their children will always want to come for the slightest holiday at your place hoping to take back foodstuffs and money you give them, some won't even want to go again sef.
Many become prostitutes, thugs, armed robbers terrorizing those who are planning and managing their lives.
If you who is planning your life goes for vacation abroad or to beach or cinema or swimming pool, they start envying and jealousing you or driving sweet ride or a duplex.
They will say you are wicked. That does it mean there are no people in the family that needs help? You are wasteful
You are selfish and self centered as if person wey born plenty no selfish too

Do you know how one can plant okro?

Re: How Are Families Coping Under This Government? by stagger: 9:37pm On Oct 11, 2024
Very easy.
Prepare your soil with chicken poo. Apply the poo by broadcast and leave it for 3 weeks.
Then get people to do broad ridges for you.

Get foundation seeds from the market or buy from companies like Technisem. Dig holes on both sides of your ridges and drop two seeds in each hole. That's it.

You can also use nursery trays to ensure total germination. Transplant at two weeks. You can also plant in sacks.

We eat some, and leave others to dry so we get our next generation of seeds.

You can also see my corn harvested this year. Sold to a donor for use to produce corn flour for an orphanage.

Just know this. If you are serious about growing your own food, you will feed your family comfortably. Nothing concern you with market costs.

Let your wife or fiancee learn to sew. She will easily keep your kids smartly dressed with materials bought from the market.

Your only headache will be rent and transport.
I grew up walking to and from school. Kids these days are too pampered.

I bet you didn't understand the sentence. I meant the baby won't be pacified by her daddy, meaning she will not stop crying even when her daddy is carrying and comforting her untill I carry her. And my hubby like I said before is a very supportive and loving one.

We are not in trouble. Trouble is in us.

This is not Tinubulation. This is stupidity. Just because Tinubu is an !d!0t shouldn't be a reason to blame everything on him. Was Tinubu already in power when they started shitting out these pikins?

By the way, the black figure in blue pants, is that the grandfather or the wife of the man? If she's the wife, then I bet 2 odds that she's the one who bought that food.

On a more serious note, this is a good example of how we keep recycling poverty in Africa as a result of our stupidity. Only a miracle will help any of these kids to break out of this vicious cycle. This photo is getting me very angry.
That pic is for illustration

I LOVE it as you are brutally honest. My only wish is that these families have more girls than boys when they have plenty of children.

That is all I plead for.
