Lexus Es330 2004-2005- nice interior, comfy leather seats too, go for it if you don’t mind fuel consumption

You would be able to get a registered unit at your price range, around 9.5m. It’s a solid car, great 4 plugs engine and gearbox that sure does last but please do maintain it properly that cars gearbox goes as high as 1.2m with uncertainty of getting a solid one that would last

I dont expect someone who can afford such car to have problem with maintenance. If money isnt an issue the BMW is a better car to drive than a dodge charger, the BMW does everything better.

But when you have bought it, i would advice you have a medium scan tool to atleast scan for error codes on your own to pickup minor issues b4 it blows to high proportion,

you must also have a modern garage to for regular and timely maintenance and fix

you should also have funds available to avoid expensive fixes when you begin experience minor issues.

Above all, these cars are not what one should be pulling everyday, they are meant for occasional joy rides like weekends, special occasions, so it would last if you have an everyday car other than one of these choices.

So sir no reoccurring problem or fault to lookout, no advice or maintenance tips
Like from researchs the 010 had suspension problem
But it's seems the 013-015 is free of reoccurring faults?

It is not a brand new vehicle, even if the inspection is supper, cars will have trouble here and there but not trouble that will need toyota japan to send a technician to fix. just ensure
1. The drive train is well inspected by your mechanic (engine and transmission) those are very expensive to replace

2. VIN check to asertain level of damage the car had if it was a salvaged title. Stay away from flooded cars that the water level passed the door window, chassis damaged or bent.

3. I always change my fluid after i buy a car after 6months (trasmission fluid, brake fluid, steering fluid etc) so i can monitor the maintenance as we dont know when the last user did those.

4. Check the timing belt and fan belt, depends on which was fitted in the vehicle, most tokunbo have the change history but if not available, check just to be sure.

5. Any work to be done especially suspension and fluid change should be done in a very clean environment, dirt is the major Achilles foot of the transmission of that vehicle

6. The steering is EPS please always avoid wadding in pool of water, the EPS hates water.

It is well documented that Hyundai and KIA from 2011 to 2015 engines were very unreliable except the V6 engines.

Nice car with very few issues. Just make sure it's been well maintained by the previous owners.

Watch out for head gasket replacement issues. This car's 4 cylinder engine is very fragile and prone to head gasket failure.

please can you do a comparison between this lexus es330 and the camry 2003'2005 xle. Is the lexus 330 better or more luxurious than the camry even with the camry being full option.

To give my opinion they are fairly the same vehicles, especially when the Camry is a v6, but obviously the Lexus is much loaded. But if you’re looking for a 4 plugs XLE Camry then it’s a better deal considering the fact you get better gas mileage

It’s a pretty solid buy, classy and obviously a better buy compared to the smaller c class of the same model year. Ensure the one you’re getting isn’t electrically abused, flooded or generally abused 🥂

Best suspension I've had on a car is on my Infiniti FX. Zero suspension work in 2.5 years so far, touch wood.

My E-class, well, let's just say it doesn't enjoy bad roads at all.

In addition to what Heavenlybang post, there are quite a lot of fake parts especially when it comes to Toyota’s, OEM parts are expensive and most can’t afford them. Again looking around you find out there are more Toyota’s on our roads, so knock-off parts are made to suits the market

Just got the Acura 2007 mdx as my first car, put it off for so long lol. I was very impressed by the thread bizzie2 did upgrading his 2008, although I thought some were overkill, the ones that impressed me and I plan to do before driving it were the internal and external lighting upgrades, lifting the height and widening the tires, upgrading the exterior obviously to 2013, and the media unit upgrade to touch screen with the reverse camera upgrade too.

Already picked up to change trasmission fluid, brake fluid, steering fluid, to check the timing and fan belt and to get a small scanner from scrolling here


Any advice generally by the experts in the house? What I shouldn’t do, what I should, maintenance tips, upgrades that may help me use it better? Any such thing would be appreciated

A 2008 Hyundai elantra should be well within your budget, gets someone to properly inspect the vehicle before purchase. Whatever vehicle you actually end up getting make sure to always check fluid levels before going anywhere, listen for any strange noise also.( I say this because I presume you’re new to driving and all) thank you

correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this only related to the Theta Gdi engines?

Mostly the GDI in NA market and the turbo charged engines.
