So I got to the medical stage of both the UBA and First Bank 2024 graduate Trainee, and am confused on which to go with.

It’s has proven to be a difficult decision at the moment.

I would appreciate any advice from experienced bankers or people who have experienced any or both banks.

Help this little one make a decision.

What roles are you going for? I know UBA is sales and FirstBank is operations most likely.

What do you want in a baking career?

I have worked in both banks as a permanent staff and I will advise that you conclude and receive your posting letter before you decide. FirstBank can be very brutal with posting of staff. They can take you anywhere. Watch and pray too.

when posting come out. ask the question. chose bank that posts you to a location you will have salary after paying transport and renting house

I guess I can lend my voice on the matter. Choose the one that enables you to grow faster. Consider the expense of transport, this may fade out if they have not posted you. More importantly, it is the one that allows you to make progress while on the job.

UBA definitely. The bank has changed over the years and you can’t go wrong starting your career with them.

But always remember the rule of banking career: dont stay loyal with one employer. After 1-2 years, looking for a bank (mostly smaller banks) that’ll offer you ABO or equivalent.

Choose FBN simple!
