You give room for the notion that igbos are no longer higher in number.

The Igbo race had, have and will continue to have the highest number of blacks from the amalgamated region
I never said so.Someone said Igbos are small in number and I said Igbos were never small in number that pre independent census placed Igbos above Yoruba. So where did you get that from?

Story story

How does the oyibo view Africa as a whole?

Which sophisticated civilization?

Show me one black African tribe that had written language documented from past?

Absolutely non

We have Hebrews, Greek, Arabic, Chinese, Korean, japanese, Indian, Nepal, etc languages with documentation as far back as 4000 years ago

So forget all these sophisticated civilization stuff

The only people that had an edge over other tribes in Nigeria was the Fulani s because of there exposure and influence of Islam over 600 years ago

That's why they still have that advantage over other tribes in Nigeria

There where renowned Islamic scholars of repute who were Africans like world renowned ibn bhatuta

But claiming sophistication
There wasn't anything sophisticated about it
Writing documentations for people is not a sign of civility. Civility is having your own writing system for your own consumption.
Igbos had their writing system for their own consumption, used insignias/signs for their consumption, used the 4 day calendar system for their own consumption etc

Those nations you mentioned were inspired by war and conquest to write, which in no way can be considered civil.

What most of you are not aware of is that western liberal arts are dominated by self hating white liberals who now promote cultures and languages of exotic people across the planet towards antagonising their own White European Culture.

These Western Liberal Arts establishment seek to promote exotic cultures that can stand their ground against white imperialism.

The focus is to promote languages and cultures that have a rich history for you can't study a language without studying the culture of the people and studying culture requires a delve into the history of that people.

Yoruba and Hausa are promoted because these two languages are from two great African civilisations.

The Ibo have none and so studying it will only expose Ibo precolonial society as one lacking substance and so further the colonial mandate to "tame those savages".

Ibo language is not studied just as much as no one has any interest to study the language of the primitive pygmy people in the Congo.

The Western Liberal Arts promotion of certain African languages alongside their culture and history is not motivated by an altrustic academic quest but rather meant to further demonize European Colonial past.

So these western liberal departments seek out those African societies that had a rich history and sophisticated civilization to promote.

That's the honest truth. Promoting Ibo language will only put Ibo pre colonial society under the microscope and if this is done will only bring about ridicule to Ibos.
Your toxic lamentation and pseudo-objective tissues of hate and bitterness will not fly.

When you were attacking we Yorubas because we voted Buhari and not PDP, you had only vile words to say about us.. So we know why your bile is overflowing against the Ibos today. grin

Igbo language is being studied all around the world, Chinese restaurant workers speak Igbo and cook Igbo food in Guangzhou and Beijing. grin

You can stew and drown in your bile.. grin

You are very correct

History of Igbos is almost not available
When that demented buffoon you quoted, was insulting Yorubas and calling them 'From in the boiling water' some years ago, I guess he was also correct..

Then what written documentation of past history of our people or our forefathers do we have

I have asked this question many times and have continued to ask
But no reply

This is actually one of the things holding black African down

There's so much reliance on the validation of the oyibo man

There's no authenticity

It's a very big pity

Parents should teach there children that they are different and unique
That they are not inferior to anybody

One South African poet before he died looked across Africa and shaked his head that black Africa is directionles

It's a very big pity

BitterTruth0001:
Hausa is the largest tribe in Africa which makes it the largest black tribe in the world

Yoruba simply begged and lied their way with gbajue and fake bishop propaganda to be accommodated so they can claim progress . It’s very important to the average Yoruba to be recognized as a Yoruba . They’re naturally very tribalistic . Everything they do, churches , mosques, politics , is all about pushing their tribe forward.

The way religion controls a Muslim is the same way tribalism controls a Yoruba man .
No lies in all you said.

Igbos are born liberals, that is why an Igbo man can travel to any part of the world to live permanently without fear and blend perfectly well with the locals and you may mistake him for a local.

Same can't be said about Yorubas who are so tribalistic that anywhere they go, they go with fear and try as much to showcase their Yoruba identity.

Igbos don't really care much about their tribal identity, they care more about prospering in whatever they do and blending into any community they find themselves in.

May be it's time to question the word majority tribe

Majority tribe with no global recognition
You can remove it and put your Yoruba language twice so that you can be gainfully employed by APC people.

😂😂😂😂😂

I think it is a gradual think . Igbo language is coming to the world. Chinese and Indians are learning Igbo. Understanding the western world and their Understanding of Africa is very crucial to understanding why Igbo language didn't get traction

In Ernest do we really need anyone to authenticate our language

Igbo language wasn't taken seriously in the times past

There weren't many scholars involved in Igbo language

The only one that comes to my mind as a kid was Dr F C Ogbalu of

To me Worrying about African language is even the least of worries

What are we doing about underdevelopment, poverty and backwardness across Africa

Believing oyibo Man to vet your language then you feel you have arrived to me is inferiority complex

We have many issues bedeviling us

That should be our worries

In conclusion
Igbo parents should endeavor there children know Igbo language both writing and reading
Know the vowels, sound and right way of pronouncing it

I thank God my parents made us learn to read and write Igbo language from childhood

I was a fluent Igbo language reader as young as age 9 I was already reading Igbo Bible even in Sunday school lesson
Language is the bedrock of development of any society.
If you examine the so-called advanced economies of the world. They have one thing in common: using their mother tongue to teach their children in school. Now reverse this scenario for underdeveloped countries and you'll see our problem, especially in Africa.

The challenges related with
Accepting our mother language in Africa is because we have many languages here

That's why the language of the colonialists reigns supreme here

I can read and write Igbo fluently
Even Google turned my search engine to Igbo language

But still it's very difficult for me

I still prefer English language that I am used to

Ability to read and write to me is the basic foundation for being enlightened/educated
Not even degree self

That's what African leaders/policy makers should be targeting

For example
Singapore today is a first world country with per Capita income over $80,000
But Singapore reached this height via education
This education were thought in English language

I have been to Singapore severally and I can say there's no much difference between Nigeria and Singapore in language issue much

They were still colonized by the British like Nigeria

So leadership is still the major problem I see with us here
Our leaders don't value or know the value good education can do to a people/Nation

The Whites know that the Igbos are the most intelligent Blacks and are doing everything in their power to undermine us.
Biafra and other issues are critical examples.
