I can recall my job hunting days when UBA posted me to one of their branches as a cash officer, but revoked the appointment because in Nigeria, anything goes. Lol...

Walk into any of each of the banks and approach any of their staff in a friendly manner and let the person know what you are there for, but don't disclose your real name, so that they won't go and screen you out, incase you mistakenly meet any of the HR personnel...

Just ask about their package and their career growth

depends on you really. The two banks are old generation so job security is high. I know FirstBank has just increased pay this October so their entry level will be pushing towards 8m and with the new chairman being Otedola promotions will be fast eventhough targets may be stiff. For UBA you will almost always end up in marketing if you are in the south but their pay too is decent.

I have worked in both banks as a permanent staff and I will advise that you conclude and receive your posting letter before you decide. FirstBank can be very brutal with posting of staff. They can take you anywhere. Watch and pray too.

I didn't know old generation banks pay their entry level staff high salaries. It means a top manager can earn close to 5million monthly.

Secondly Go for UBA.

THE SALARY IS HUGE CONSIDERING THE KIND OF ECONOMY WE HAVE TO BE ABLE TO CATER FOR BILLS AND BILLS

AND ALSO WORKING ENVIRONMENT.

FIRST BANK GET WAHALA SHA

ler her choose firstbank, they pay better. Job security, allowances, bonus. Salary increment. It's worth it. People are leaving uba to Firstbank.

At this moment, the pay is not really the ish. Nigerians are natural survivors.

I want where I can grow career wise. Next 5 years, I would say I have achieved something with my life.

Am looking for a place that treats their staffs with kindness in as much as banking is not easy, it’s shouldn’t be my deathtrap.

And for the record guys, it’s a SHE😀

Well, BA grade (entry) is higher than 9M from a reliable source.

@OP: Go for FirstBank if you know what's good for you.

Even experienced UBA staff are crossing to FirstBank.

Meanwhile, don't stay too relaxed in one bank or the industry. See it as a ladder to greater things.

I was once in the industry so take this a piece of brotherly advice.
