Police Detain Hotel Manager Over Woman’s Death In Lagos by BadNews(op): 12:39am On Oct 14, 2024
Police in Lagos have detained a hotel manager in the Dopemu area over the death of a woman who allegedly came to their facility with an unknown man.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this to NAN on Sunday.

According to Hundeyin, the Dopemu Police Division received a report from the hotel manager on Friday at about 10.10 pm on the incident.

He said the manager reported that at about 9:30 pm on the same day, a man walked into the hotel with a lady to have a short rest.

Hundeyin said that the identities of the man and the lady were, however, not taken by the hotel manager.

“He stated further that after an hour, the lady rushed out, claiming she was feeling hot, the manager said he gave her cold water to drink.

“The manager said the lady was still not feeling better and was later taken to a hospital at Dopemu Road, where she later gave up the ghost, while the man that brought her to the hotel absconded.

“Meanwhile, the manager of the hotel is detained to help in investigation. The corpse has been deposited at Mainland General Hospital mortuary, Yaba, for autopsy,” he said.

I still don't understand how some men will spend a million plus buying drinks for a lady's birthday but will not in a second ask her about her career. It's a man world, and the society as a whole will be raised or reduced by the status of the men.

Oga, short time hotel no de collect details. It is for coded runs often time. 1 hr.
Most in dopemu have a gate per room, you drive into the exclusive gate to the room they close it behind you, you give cash to the staff, after 1 hr you drive off. Even the police know how far, they are just playing to the gallery hiding under the law of getting customers information.
It is likely they walked into the place, because most of those joints coddedly write down vehicle plate numbers without the customers knowing.

To go to prison in Nigeria now is just too easy on like before.
Because every job is becoming a dangerous job now.
They should have held the unidentified man that came with her, while taking the Lady to the hospital.

short time or not, as long as there is a likelihood of something like that happening, the hotel should collect some form of identification. As you said vehicle plate number is also good or CCTV cameras
