Okay I get you and you have a point if we interpret the Emir literally. I am probably just biased because, like most Yorubas, I am seething at the floodgate of insecurity and terrorism Northerners have opened, we may never be able to close, while Northern leaders keep living in denial and "rehabilitating" brutal serial killers who'd be jailed in any serious nation on earth with keys thrown away.

It's painful doing your bit while you continue to suffer due to the actions of others. Me and my siblings had plans for big commercial Family farming in our State of origin but stopped that plan after the SW, especially farms in the region, became unsafe because of the unchecked proliferation of killings and destruction down to Fulani herdsmen militancy under Buhari.

It is therefor painful to read this from this Emir because it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth considering that leaders living in denial and never doing the right thing, especially in SE and the North, are causing serious problems for all Nigerians.

It is the same with Igbos always proclaiming Kanu innocent and demanding his release while backing and obeying the lunacy of Ekpa Etal making the SE more unsafe and terrorised. They will then then go and be burdening Yoruba land with unchecked migration to the SW while still insulting and fighting Yorubas daily.


It is sickening and the reason most Yorubas are demanding regional governance as our Governors bravely demanded below from Buhari in 2021. Yorubas,, especially their leaders and shown below, are fed up of the irresponsibilities of others now heavily burdening the SW in one form or the other.

You're only right about Northerners been educated abroad by Nigeria's purse but wrong assuming they are largely well-educated. I am a product of the UK education system. Went to Uni there and of course had a lot of Nigerian colleagues.

While you will find so many Yorubas, Igbos, Edos Etal in the average UK Uni, Northerners are far, far less in number even as their education was being subsidized by Nigeria's money while the rest of us often had part time and weekend work to make ends meet.

When most Nigerians of Southern origin graduate in the UK, we'd go into professional employment, buy homes, have kids and become fully immersed in UK life whereas the few Northerners we studied with head back to Nigeria to take up a ready made Government or political appointment.

The reality of Nigeria directly contravenes what this Emir thinks and utters about his people. Only a small and usually very elite population of Fulanis are well-educated and sophisticated in comparison to the total population of the ethnic group. Northern leaders are detached from reality and that is why illiteracy and backwardness is pervasive in the region while they see something else to the reality we all know about the North.

Can't admit you have a problem, or always deflecting blame onto others, and solutions will never arrive. Northern leaders should be trying to do far more to uplift ordinary Northerners instead of delivering talk that makes it obvious they are over-privileged elites arrogantly out of sync with reality.
