But even we agree that this is a war between Russia and the Nazi, only in 6 years of WW2, the Nazi was responsible for the deaths of over 30 million people. If the allied powers were thinking like you and refused to go after the ideology, since you don't defeat ideologies with war how much more would have died.
So even if you accuse the Nazi of all deaths in the Russian Ukraine war, that's still less than 1% of the deaths of WW2.
If Israel can do the same with the Hamas ideology, I will not complain. Or what do you think?

The bone of contention is Nazism is still very much alive and people are still being killed from that ideology. It brings us back to my initial statement that an ideology cannot be defeated with weapons. Nazism is growing gradually, supported by those who fought Nazis during WW2. USA called azov battalions terrorist before the war with Russia began, now that the, war began , USA is in support of this same azov and gives them weapons and even calls them freedom fighters. Canada even invited a ex Nazi to Canada and he was given a standing ovation.

What Israel is doing to Hamas won't end anytime soon. The innocent children who's parents have been killed will only harbor hate and want revenge making them easy for Hamas members to mobilize them and bring them into their ideology. Then they will plan another attack and Israel retaliates and then the cycle keeps repeating itself no matter how long .

Neither you nor I are the time keeper for this war but the goal for Israel is to destroy Hamas no matter how long it takes.
On the kids, how come German and japanese kids did not harbor hate and mobilize after WW2 . Do you have any historical example of where the kind of situation you are describing occured?

Let's assume you are right and let's claim Nazism is killing people today but it's killing less then 1% of those it killed 80 years ago so that's proof that bullets are very successful in dismantling ideologies.
To me, if you can reduce killings by over 99%, I call it a big success.
If Israel can do the same, the world will be a better place.
