It is not enough for the government to give an order, who will protect the people when unknown gunmen strike? The security agencies cannot be everywhere everytime, people are defenceless
Re: Nnamdi Kanu: Anambra Traders Maintain Sit-At-Home Despite Soludo’s Order by panpan(m):
A lot of traders in Anambra State are not willing participants in the sit-at-home.
They are just being cautious to avoid harassment.
They have been bullied to conform or risk having their businesses destroyed.

It was really dumb for someone who is a professor to threaten residents. Soludo behaved like Simon Ekpa by threatening to close down shops that didn't open on monday.

Imagine if a northern governor threatens to seize farms if the farmers refuse to farm because bandits are terrorizing them. That's how dumb Soludo sounded. This year is not the first time, he made similar threat in 2022 and nothing changed.

Only ADEQUATE security will make sit at home to die.
Na show man.

Someone who immediately after his inauguration, went and did church thanksgiving for the end of sit at home.

You can’t do this in Hausa land
That’s why even if you break Nigeria up some regions will suffer
Imagine if there’s no central revenue from other states and every region must eat what they generate. What becomes of Igbo land when someone threatens the population and force them to sit at home?

In the north, not even Biko haram or bandits can cause a continuous and compelete shut down like this. People will go out

This soludo is fighting a lost cause. If he knows what is good for him he should just ignore these guys like Obiano did and ruled peacefully till he left.
He is asking people to come out will he provide adequate security for them? The late Ifeanyi Ubah tried it and failed. Nobody wants to die an untimely death.
Oya let him go and seal all the markets in anambra state now.

They are not sitting at home bcus of MNK. They are rather sitting at home bcus the Governor and the Nigerian security system can’t defend themselves talk more of defending anyone else. What is the sense in opening your business and getting caught up in between bullets from the UGm and security for just one day business resthuh

Re: Nnamdi Kanu: Anambra Traders Maintain Sit-At-Home Despite Soludo’s Order by bentenny(m): 10:14am On Oct 15, 2024
There are some directives that make no sense!
Soludo knows that he is not in charge of security in the state and he also knows he cannot secure citizens in that state if they choose to abide by Soludo directive!

Nobody wants to be killed by the UGM in the state since the state Government refused to tackle the insecurities from the root.

The government is only tackling the insecurities apparently...

Soludo should focus his energy towards the FG instead of being a coward towards innocent traders who are fearful of their lives
Soludo is the chief security officer of his state. Why should he focus on the FG?
No doubt , the FG has failed . But most of these governors are totally clueless. What are they doing in their various states? They just sit back and pass the blame to the FG.

You typify how DISUNITY between the Yoruba and rest of the southern regions enable Arewa to control the crude oil and gas deposits in the south through their tight grips on Nigeria's false democratic process.
As the disunity is deepened by the Nurudeens of Yoruba today, the sympathizers for a Nigeria to be governed with Sharia criminal justice system use government institutions and instruments to pave the way for armed Fulani herdsmen with ISIS and Boko haram to penetrate all over Nigeria.

What are you talking about? We from the South West defended our region in several occasions, things that could have escalated more than Ipob which we are proud of

Was it not because of former president Buhari all this sit at home started? Can Buhari still remember anything Ipob or Kanu in Daura?

End SARS was before UGM, others moved on far from it but you people just couldn't

Make una stop shifting blames, take responsibility once and for all

The governor and other governor's from South East should push for the release of mnk so that we can know if actually the cause of insecurity in the east is all about his freedom

cheesy

The problem these busy body governors failed to understand is that Mondays in Anambra especially onitsha has been set as unofficial resting days for traders.
Nobody hold anybody to open on Mondays oo
but you can never tell us when to open shop and when not to.
Even if Kanu comes out today, I doubt the sit at home will stop.
Yes an Onitsha based trader told me so

That they now take Monday s to rest as an extension of weekend

Because normally they don't rest before
But this sit at home helps them

Even I myself enjoy it
Anytime I come around to the East for any dealings

That’s in the rural areas where there’s no structure or law basically

No city in northern nigeria has been shut down like in anambra or Enugu or Abia consistently like they’ve been doing

And even in this villages they’ve risen up again and again with their one local militia like they did in Borno and Zamfara to protect themselves and actively fight the detractors and oppressors. The north is unlike any other region

This situation is just like a case of being in a commercial bus traveling as a passenger.

A pastor and a herbalist are among the Passengers in the bus. Suddenly the herbalist tells the driver to stop and allow him alight because the gods have shown him a sign of an accident ahead should the bus proceed on the journey further.

Then the pastor says " Na lie! This bus is covered by the blood of Jesus "

The driver stops and the herbalist drops from the bus. Now u as a Christian is in doubt whether to believe the word of a pastor who says the bus is covered by the blood of Jesus because he's an occupant or whether to just drop jeje like the herbalist to avoid stories that touch.

In a nutshell, the people ar confused because they are not sure the governor can save them from attacks from IPOB when they go about enforcing the sit at home. They also don't want the governor to lock their shops indefinitely as a he threatened if they don't open on Mondays
Oga the Governor can't lock anybody's shop/store.....The masses are angry grin grin grin

Stop writing rubbish. No one is confused. And if the igbos feel that IPOB and other pro Biafra groups are talking rubbish, the sit at home thing won't hold for long, and anyone that tries to enforce it will be burnt to death. Take my words for it. The fact that people still obey that in the face of the dire economic realities, should tell you that they genuinely beleive in it.

The major problem with those of you against the sit at home, is that you believe your own skewed propoganda. You have been selling the false narrative that the traders were being forced to observe that. Maybe at the initial stage, a level of enforcement took place, but right now the people are genuinely upset not just with Kanus continued incarceration, but also with the general anti igbo oppressive governance of the ruling APC. Infact, the APC ruination of the country is the main reason Kanu continues to be very relevant.

If any politician from the east fails to realise the peoples anger on these issues and frames his politics accordingly, he is on his own. Soludo has been doing a lot of damage to his brand with his political outbursts and anti IP0B rethorics. At the moment, he should be the voice that assembles the opinions of his people together, in other to find solutions to the problems, but no, he would rather put himself against the same people that elected him. That is terrible politics if you ask me.
Any credible opponent in the next election may defeat soludo....if he continues with this his nonsensical politics,,,,I do not know who his trying to please!
