As things stand today, the Wike group are the legitimate House of Assembly members, until the Governor's side successfully appeal the last judgement. The Rivers Governor will do well not to relax. It seems the Wike group are prepared for a long fight. |

The judiciary is one one the greatest threats we have in Nigeria against democracy and Peace I won't be surprised if Supreme court sides with the Wike camp of the state house of assembly despite thier decamping to another political party. |

mrksquare:I hope the Governor doesn't take the same approach as you. A court decision is not to be treated as a joke. The Governor must treat this as a serious matter. |

INEC must as a matter of urgency conduct a fresh election now or we will embark on a massive protest and shutdown Rivers state. I urge the DSS to arrest the lawmakers now Fubara will be taught a lesson |

I think the Chief of Staff seat ought to have been fill by now as he willfull resigned publicly the same way all the former law makers resign willfully from their previous party and stood on a mandate, non of them instituted any case against any media house when their resignation letter from their party emerged . Saying they didn't attend seating is complete BS. |

yerilistik:Why should the apex court decide otherwise |
| Re: Rivers Assembly Declares Pro-Fubara Lawmakers’ Seats Vacant by Okpebholo1: 2:43pm On Oct 15, 2024 |
mrksquare:Not true sir. He might have appealed but the supreme court does not grant a stay of appeal on civil cases except on rare cases like criminal cases. The appeal court judgment subsists and from the judgment, the supreme court will uphold it so no need to waste time. The declaration by the house is valid since those members have been absent unduly |

Okpebholo1:I beg to disagree some have being seating and carrying out the business of the Assembly ... Anyway the Supreme Court will decide the matter whether public display of resignation is acceptable especially when it is covered for all to see . |
