Once it starts ringing, there's nothing you can do, but you can manage it, wear ear plugs during listening seasons, when done, play a very low background music over the speakers (Calm relaxing piano classical), low enough for you not to hear the ringing much, it helps relax and adjust the ears & brains, with time you'll learn to ignore it. |

Some years ago, I went to one of the conservative centers in Lagos only to return home and noticed ringing sounds in my ears. I thought it would fizzle away before evening but the sound became seriously obvious and disturbing that night. I visited 3 different ENT specialists and they flushed the ear but the sound didn't stop fully as it becomes more obvious once I rest any of the ears on a pillow or whenever I'm swimming. Perhaps I will try once more with an ENT specialist in the country that I'm now residing and see if anything changes |

createdevelop:Hello Op, if you're in Lagos, quickly visit ENT Clinic situated inside FMC, Railway Compound, Ebute Metta, Lagos. FMC stands for Federal Medical Center, in case you want to ask for directions when you get to the bus stop. The hospital is at the last bus stop. The easiest way to locate the hospital will be passing through Costain (enter a bus or Keke from Costain going to Oyinbo), if that's your route, or you enter Post Office Oyinbo through Yaba. That's, if you're coming via the public transport enroute Yaba. And prepare your body and mind to climb one of the longest and most tiring pedestral bridge you've come across in Lagos, Nigeria. So you better eat well before coming. Try get to the hospital on or before 7am, otherwise, your appointment might be rescheduled for the next appointment day. Wishing you good speed. |

createdevelop:To anyone seeing this, stop using earbuds,it's a scam, stop putting any objects in your hears. God created the ear to self clean, same with the eyes and nose. The only persons that should put an object in your ears are otolaryngologists. |

createdevelop:The way some of you plant earpiece in your ears most times is harmful. Avoid using the headphones. Allow air to get in when headphones are on. Visit the doctor. Be careful as regards the doctor you're visiting. Someone had your kind of issues and a doctor made it worse for giving him wrong prescriptions. He came here to tell the story. |

createdevelop:Well, talking from same experience it's such a stubborn symptom and when it gets intense it might begin to affect your movement, not being able to balance when walking and you might start to feel dizzy or even vomit often, most Nigerian doctors are not that experience with this. Some things you can do avoid listening to loud music for at least one week, then anything earpod, head phone forget about it totally. And when listening to music always have earmuffs or plugs on it helps. Going to bed early every day will also help in calming the brain narves. Some helpful over the counter medications STUGERON (totally required) BETAHISTIN 16mg AMITRIPTYLINE 25mg to be used at Night |

Chikel20000:the inner ear is actually self-cleaning. Cleaning the outer ear is sufficient. The wax in your ear is actually good as it helps to trap dust and other tiny particles and prevent them from getting into the inner ear. However, excessive earwax can become cumbersome. If you experience excessive earwax, rather than prod your ear with sharp objects or cotton buds, you should use a 50/50 volume/volume mixture of hydrogen peroxide and clean water (water should be room temperature) in the ear. This will most likely dislodge the solid wax and get it out. |

You are right, mine is that I don't really hear well with one of my ears, but when I pull it I will hear clearly but the moment I remove my hand it will return to the way it was, but sometimes last week there a way I did it and it's fine now, what could be the cause of it. |
