The tenure of Godswill Akpabio as Nigeria’s Senate President is a national disappointment. Among Akpabio’s missteps was his mishandling of the fuel subsidy debate, where he rubber-stamped unpopular policies without due diligence. His focus on partisan theatrics, including embarrassing moments such as his public faux pas about “enjoyment allowances,” highlights a troubling lack of seriousness.

For the sake of Nigeria’s democracy, Akpabio should be impeached. The Senate must reassert its independence and show the executive that it will no longer operate unchecked. If Akpabio stays, the consequences will be dire: a rubber-stamp legislature eroding public trust and fostering unchecked governance.

Akpabio is the best Senate President Nigeria has ever produced.

My problem is the over 13 persons that liked your comment. I have discovered that Tinubu is really paying lots of money on media propaganda otherwise tell me why a human being with brain will still be supporting Tinubu in the face of glaring hardship in Nigeria, only money can motivate such an eddiott.

Impeachment is not a child's play, it requires a lot of processes. If those who have been disappointed by their representatives in their constituencies could not initiate a recall, who then would do the impeachment?
