Nigeria may be sanctioned for failing to honour the match. In hindsight it appears as though the boys overreacted by refusing to go ahead with the match cry

We didn't treat them well when they came to Nigeria. Kept them on a bus trip that was harassed regularly by touts and police.
But is their team stranded at airport for 15+ hours, without food, water or communication?.

The föolish Libyan FA seems to have learned extreme stupîdity from Nigerian APC politicians because what they hell is this one again ? If CAF is a serious entity, they'll award three points and three goals to the Eagles fast rather than postpone the match
Your head correct. Who keep a team stranded at the airport for 15+hours without food, water and expect them to play in few hours.

Many Nigerians have grown in their orientation of believing the worst about their country that even if the Devil comes against Nigeria they will find a way of justifying the Devil and condemning Nigeria. Sad!

And they are still saying, they did the right thing.

Wereeeeyyyyyyy them.
Abi.. make them keep the three points. The lives of our Super eagles is more than the 3points. Imagine they direct the plan to land in a smaller airport far away from civilization and keep them at the airport for more than 15hrs after they landed without food, water etc and you say make the super eagles manage and play... What IF they kidnap them nko.

No but we should have done better. We let our corrupt system treat guest visitors like they were not welcome.

Since the killed their savour Gaddafi, that country as lost everything. And I don't think they can ever be normal again till Gaddafi return to help them a second time which will properly takes another 50-75years

Oga try and research a situation before you drop your opinion. The libya team refuse all possible hospitality the Nigeria team offer them, from the airport they were meant to land to bus offer to them. Please research before bringing out ur opinion sir.

Interesting!

One thing is certain: if Libya is not sanctioned with a heavy fine and a ban for a couple of games, CAF will endorse this issue, and African tactics will prevail. It will come to the point where African games will be ridiculed. Certainly, Libyans must pay dearly.

The other issue is whether Nigeria is found guilty of the Libyan complaint. If that is the case, Nigeria will have to face the consequences. My opinion is that if both are guilty, the depth of wickedness of the two parties should be used to punish them. So Libya should be aware that they are in for it. And Nigeria should be prepared to defend itself in order to avoid a severe or no penalty, as Libya would have. That's it.

Libya, in my opinion, should be kicked out of the qualification process completely. I would not even ask for Nigeria to be awarded three points, but rather to be kicked out and possibly banned for up to five years from participating in the tournament. Then, I would look into Nigeria too. If this is not done, African football will die.
Libya in my own opinion planned this even before the first leg in Uyo.
They were scheduled to land in Uyo which is the match venue but at the eleven hour they opted to land in Port Harcourt so as to find a reason to hang on to when dishing out this treatment to Nigeria in Tripolis or wherever.
I believe they purposely decided at the last minute to land in Port Harcourt so as to fake maltreatment from us after a scheduled agreement to land in Uyo.
They needed something for mind game but we are wiser than them all..
Those guys didn't start this tactic today, it's in their veins, Caf knows this too.

kidnapping yeah, but sake of african unity lets not press that charges

In summary they held our national team and officials against their will, denying them access to basic necessities they would require before their match.

That sounds like outright kidnap of Nigerias National team.. they (libya) should go to court, they are learners,Nigeria will floor them well

Nigeria should please not send civil servant lawyers but a competent legal team, this should be interesting,

So they should play the match , after waiting at the airport for more 13 hours without anything. And you called that overreacted. Did you hear what the pilot said ?

They should play the match , where Libyan has shown their hostility towards them?
Both countries might be sanctioned or reschedule the match to be played on a neutral ground .

I am sure you created the scene in Nigeria so as to give reason for taking our team hostage. Why did your team Pilot fly to Portharcourt when the match was in Uyo. No one diverted you there without making arrangements. You did that yourselves.

Our team got diverted intentionally, even with the risks involved. You wanted them to crash and die if their fuel finished on the way to the diverted location. You had no plans for them there. You actually meant to kill them.

You failed.

I blame CAF for this nonsense! Country with political crisis shouldn't host matches. It should be played in a neutral ground.
CAF is not serious, this is not first time it has happened. Some even played their CAF champions league at 2pm.
If CAF wants to be serious, fine Libya $20,000, reschedule the match to be played in a neutral ground with no Libyan fans, ban them for a year not to host matches in their country. All these insults will stop. They just insulted the whole of Africa.
