Hello, I have a few questions regarding the visitor visa process. I have relatives and friends in Canada who are willing to send me an invitation letter upon my request. However, I’m unsure about the best way to receive this letter. I have found examples of the letter format online, but I would like to know if they need to send me a physical (hard copy) letter, or if it's acceptable for them to type, print, and scan the letter, then send it to me via email so that i just download the scanned copy in my email then upload it to my application on the IRCC portal.

Additionally, do they need to send a copy of the invitation letter to the Canadian embassy in Nigeria? If so, should this be a hard copy or a soft copy? Thank you very much for your assistance

you are submitting the documents online so no need for printing or rescanning. They prepare it on word document attach their digital signature and send to you via email.

The embassy in Nigeria does not process the applications and dont require any documents sent to them. You upload everything in the online portal.

The way you are focusing on invitation letter ehn. Hope you know it doesn’t carry weight for visitors visa unless its for a parents. You will be assessed based on your home ties and probability of returning back home.

IRCC don close your application portal with them, decision has been made tay-tay.

Your agent told you to hold on as if na him wan decide your visa outcome.

I'm not arguing it, I just want to confirm, because someone here also said he has access to his application portal, and that the tracker is saying application close, but from his portal he hasn't gotten any response yet...

What I know and sure of is, once tracker says application closed, it's 💯 certain that decision has been made on the main application portal.

All you do now is wait, it should take about 3 weeks to a month and you will get an mail again with the attached note.

having US visa is really the hack cos I applied december ending and got ten years visa in January, everything took 2 weeks cos I had a valid Us visa. just be patient and lets hope it comes out positive. Goodluck

1. International passport
2. Letter of Introduction
3. Statement of Purpose
4. Tenancy agreement
5. POF
6. Reference letter from bank
7. Accommodation reservation
8. Tour reservation
9. Utility bill
10. Work ID
11. Birth certificate
12. Flight reservation
13. 6 months payslip

Been to Uk and Schengen area before.
It was a tourist visa.
