Fortunately the damage wasn't this bad.

koldrun head to the hospital. You need a burn unit if you can find one. Not sure it should even be exposed like that.

Go to a hospital and get proper treatment instead of a chemist shop.

See online doctors. Instead of them advising op to visit nearest hospital, they are here advising him to apply one thing or the other. Op, thankfully the burn area doesn't look widespread but I can see some signs of wound infection. Please visit your nearest hospital for proper assessment. Your wound would require dressing and possible antibiotics. You heard this from a doctor

Did you fail to read where the OP mentioned he has been to the hospital?

Please go to a good hospital, they'll give you what you need.

If that is not possible, I'll recommend something for your use to clean the wound.

1. NCP
2. Gauze roll (the very big size; I bought 1 for ₦10,170 in H-Medix)

Dilute the NCP one or 2 caps with 2x quantity of water. Wet the gauze with it and apply over the wound. Leave the gauze on the wound till evening, and repeat in the evening.

You would need to apply another layer of the gauze over the one on the wound, so that the NCP you applied on it does not dry up. Please don't apply any powder (cicatrin powder), or pap... Anything that can leave a particle on the wound.

You'll be fine with some scars, but you'll definitely be fine. Get well soon

My advice for you is:
Stop applying GV ink to your wounds. It makes the skin coarse making it difficult for the wound to heal properly. You can get dermazin cream. It works best for burn situations like this. Speaking of experience it works.

It'll heal with time. The flesh will grow back and everything will become normal. Give it time, Probably months to heal up

Ensure to always eat healthy, esp protein as this would enable the flesh to heal up quickly

So because he has been to the hospital, and treatment initially instituted is not working, he has no right to go back to the same hospital to let them know or even try a different hospital? You would rather he tried self medication for a wound that is already infected and risks him having more severe infection?

I was going to recommend this before I saw that you got it already. It's very effective. But you have to apply under sterile conditions for it to work, clean the wound and wash your hands thoroughly before using them to apply the cream. Within 3-7 days, you should begin to see the wound dry up and heal. Worked excellently for me.

And yours is a second-degree burn.

Go straight to a proper hospital for a proper medical care. Take no other advice from here.
