Lagos, given the advantages it has enjoyed over other states and given the pivotal industrial, commercial and social pedestal it’s been placed on amongst the comity of states, is bound to have more resources and infrastructure that would make governing it be that much easier than governing states like Anambra, Oyo, Kaduna, etc! There was virtually little on ground in Anambra when Peter Obi took over as governor, and the state was left better off when he left! Anambra is enjoying the benefits of his good and prudent governance years after he left office!

Your logic is flawed. What is wrong with a leader (Tinubu) being involved in the process to endorse and support a successor (Fashola, Ambode, Sanwo Olu) to power? Is this not what is responsible for the huge success of Lagos since 1999, to the extent the State is the only city with a state-funded metro rail strike system in the whole of West Africa, while the likes of Bayelsa for example (even as her son GEJ was former President) is totally failed currently?

If some of you think deep, factoring in the unique peculiarities and reality of Nigeria, you will understand nothing is wrong with benevolent godfatherism as it can make the difference between the gbas gbos forward and backwards failure most Nigerian States are. There are States that did well under a Governor to then tank badly under another because the new governor comes in determined to fight and cancel all uncompleted initiatives of his predecessor to include even the very good ones.

Is that a good, progressive or desirable State of affair? Like it or hate it, Lagos is proof Tinubu is the master of visionary politics as specifically applied to Nigeria.

Then i also didn’t factor in the failure of governance, insecurity and dearth in infrastructure he met when he assumed office! Anyone who can make the impact he made in Anambra….leaving it much better off than he met it, would turn a state like Lagos around in just 4 years! Remember we’re also talking of someone who was a self-made millionaire even before becoming governor! What was Tinubu antecedents and worth before he managed to use elective office to enrich himself and generations yet unborn….possibly to the tune of billions of dollars!? Sanwo-Olu was selected and is where he is today just to protect his masters business and political interests!

As for the bolded, I have been trying to also know what exactly he did before he entered politics that made him a self made millionaire. From the little I know, he use to own a supermarket in the UK that has failed, the only other supermarket is in Abuja I think, if it is just supermarket, then there are very many ordinary folks who own supermarkets also, so it would be nice to know what he did that he become a self made millionaire as you claimed.
