This remark caused the congregation to burst into laughter.

Please what do you mean by the bold text?
This is a conference about his Church-Adventist and he is testifying and also encouraging his members about how powerful their God is. So what is funny?

You could have used the word 'Happy"or "Encouraged"

What is wrong in that, is he not qualified even more than your so-called leaders whose source of wealth cannot be verified

These BILLIONAIRES need to stop with their PERSECUTION PORN!

First, it was Dangote claiming that people said his Refinery was too big to build. Claiming it would never be completed.

This is the same refinery that economic pundits have been touting as the saviour of the Nigerian economy for decades.

It's the same refinery that the average Nigerian was looking forward to its completion as a point of NATIONAL PRIDE.

It's the same refinery that banks were falling over themselves to finance.

Now another Billionaire is claiming that because someone was opposing his $2B dollar projects, he prayed to God and God made him so sick he couldn't come to work.

I am NOT even going to talk about the good, god-fearing and decent christians who are chuckling GLEEFULLY at the thought of their God PUNISHING a man with CHRONIC sickness.

What I'm going to talk about are the Billionaires that seem to be on a mission to tell the world that they have STRUGGLES too.

That's LAUGHABLE!

This is Nigeria.
What MONEY cannot do does NOT exist!

As a Billionaire, you know the palms to grease. And you have the MEANS to grease them SUFFICIENTLY.

If someone wants too much grease or, shockingly, does NOT want the grease; you can grease a Judge's wig and BUY yourself a court judgement.

Issues faced by Nigerian billionaires in Nigeria are temporary and ephemeral.

So their tales of persecution is just ANNOYING.

It's MADNESS to claim that your $2 Billion project was being held back by a LOW-LEVEL civil servant and you had to resort to PRAYERS.
Maybe you just enter Nigeria, try build your personal house first, them come back and share your experience with town planning.

Where did he say it was a low-level civil servant? Even just using common sense, why would he be engaged in such talk with a low level civil servant?

He seems to clearly be alluding to Abba Kyari.
"but I later found out that the official blocking the permit had fallen ill and was flown to Germany for treatment." Abba Kyari never travelled to Germany for treatment! Rather, Contracted COVID in his transit and only became symptomatic after returning to Nigeria and died in Lagos.

Six Leadership Principles that we can learn from an Eagles

1. Eagles fly Alone and at High Altitudes.
They don't fly with sparrows, ravens, and other small birds.

MEANING; Stay away from narrow-minded people, those that bring you down. Eagle flies with Eagles. Keep good company.

2. Eagles have an Accurate Vision. They have the ability to focus on something as far as 5km away. No matter the obstacles, the eagle will not move his focus from the prey until he grabs it.

MEANING; Have a vision and remain focused no matter what the obstacles and you will succeed.

3. Eagles do not Eat Dead things. They Feed only on Fresh Prey.

MEANING; Do not rely on your past success, keep looking for new frontiers to conquer. Leave your past where it belongs, in the past.

4. Eagles Love the Storm.
When clouds gather, the eagle gets excited, the eagle uses the storms wind to lift itself higher. Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagle uses the raging storm to lift itself above the clouds. This gives the eagle an opportunity to glide and rest its wings. In the meantime, all the other birds hide in the branches and leaves of the tree.

MEANING; Face your challenges head on knowing that these will make you emerge stronger and better than you were. We can use the storms of life to rise to greater heights. Achievers are not afraid to rise to greater heights. Achievers are not afraid of challenges, rather they relish them and use them profitably.

5. Eagles Prepare for Training;
They remove the feathers and soft grass in the nest so that the young ones get uncomfortable in preparation for flying and eventually flies/ when it becomes unbearable to stay in the nest./

MEANING; Leave your Comfort Zone, there is No Growth there.

6. When the Eagle Grows Old,
His feathers becomes weak and cannot take him as fast and as high as it should. This makes him weak and could make him die. So he retires to a place far away in the mountains. While there, he plucks out the weak feathers on his body and breaks its beaks and claws against the rocks until he is completely bare; a very bloody and painful process. Then he stays in this hiding place until he has grown new feathers, new beaks and claws and then he comes out flying higher than before.

MEANING; We occasionally need to shed off old habit no matter how difficult, things that burden us or add no value to our lives should be let go of.

Una see why some of us like Tinubu.

This man is the brother and supporter of a strong PDP man who is the governor of Osun State, that did not prevent him from granting him the license to start producing power, Hope all of us can now see where the priority of the government is? Government is ready to support any individual or group ready to invest in power, it does not matter what party or tribe you belong to. That is Tinubu for you.

If lamba king also decides to use his productive time into a profitable venture that will help the country instead of just attending any owanmbe party, he will also be supported.

Thank God for his intervention, however, before we take sides, were the environment concerns raised by the official genuine according to Nigeria standard operating guidelines for such projects? Very relevant question, and I guess that was why his Chinese partner was scared! Think outside the box before you take sides.

He's hundred PERCENT RIGHT.... most likely the settlement he asked from adeleke wasn't ready for it.... we had EU partners then that wanted to do a project but to our greatest shock some officials where asking for nearly 60k euros for a budget cost of 250k euros.

He knows his audience. He knows that once you entertwine religion/spirituality with anything, the brains of Nigerians wake up. That's why you see Remi Tinubu pretend be a pastor (side eye) and Foluronsho Alakija preaching Christ grin. Let him swear by ogun that when his project was in lambo, he only prayed and did nothing.

If prayers work, Nigeria would have been the richest country in the world. But I guess he has to entertain his hosts with the kind of story that tickle their fancy to make it worthwhile.

The phrase "civil service" in Nigeria is synonymous with corruption, inefficiency, excessive bureaucracy, arrogance, purposelessness. The evil most Nigerian civil\public service personnel have done to the development of Nigeria is unfathomable. embarassed
Civil Service can also be phrased Evil Service. What most of them at critical areas of the service especially in the Power & Road sector are interested only is in lining their pockets, they careless the benefits to the country any project is expected to bring to the table. Evil Service

Stop all these foolish talk. His first two power plants (Olorunsogo and Omotosho) were built during Ya' Adua/Jonathan period. The current one he is building, he got the license and started it during Buhari period. The denial of approval during that period may likely be attributed to his affiliation with PDP, So why giving Tunubu credit of what he was part of?

Why don't you people use your sense when writing. Didn't you hear the man say he would not bribe anyone and that it is risky to bribe at that level. Above this, he said he believed in his God and that God would do this. What are you now saying. The man did not pray for God to make the officer sick, he only prayed to to make him get the permit. How God does this is not for us to question. If anyone is blocking your progress, does he concern you if God punished them with whatsoever so you can have your progress? Let us think well and learn to give glory to God.

Listen, whether you like it or not, God answers prayers. Prayer works. All Glory be to God.
