Emotions ran high among members of the Living Faith Church on Friday as they bid farewell to Bishop David Abioye upon his retirement.

During a valedictory service held in his honor at Goshen Camp in Nasarawa State, Bishop Oyedepo said he's loyal to his spiritual father and mentor, Bishop David Oyedepo.


Abioye's retirement aligns with the guidelines enshrined in the Mandate, the operational manual of the Living Faith Church, otherwise known as Winners Chapel.

A longstanding figure in the ministry, Bishop Abioye first crossed paths with Bishop Oyedepo in 1979 and has since served as his trusted right-hand man.

It Must have been a touching moment for those who was there.

Rapture day go loud gan.......for me I don't think he should retire since the president is still very much in his position. It's a kingdom ministry which should last forever as long as you are alive.

However, why was papa, mama and Eneche not smiling during his valedictory speech?

With this a precedence will be set in Winners, many pastors in winners will build themselves and leave early to form their own ministry or church. Thought pastorship or priesthood is lifetime something, is there payment settlement from the owner of the church

The great man was eased out to pave the way for the Oyedepo Junior to take over later.

Retired from working in a church Business

This man (Abioye) has caused more problems in marriages through his so called counsel & preaching on marriages.
God forbid me to attend his church.
Incase you want to argue, I am a winner & a disciple of Bishop David Oyedepo.
