If we all Nigerians are going through same shit with no exceptions of party affiliation, tribe, region or religion, why are the opposition making the hardships to look as if they are the only one affected? You people can't be frustrating those who are also frustrated like you with whatever government policies. We can't be talking about government treating us badly make the citizens also be treating each other same way. In Adele's voice, Easy on us |

helinues:No matter how bad a country is, there are still those who profit from it. And those people have hangers-on who are content with the crumbs that gets to them. But the issue is that the majority are hard it by the unfair and unnecessary hardship imposed by BAT and the apc while they continue to live lavishly on the commonwealth of the masses. About 5% of Nigerians, out of 200m, are not really affected by the hardship... that is about 10milion people... while it seems large, and you might be among the 10million, the larger picture shows that over 120 million people are in abject poverty while another 70m are barely getting by. That is what you really need to be looking at. Is the government doing enough for the generality of the population? Or is it just catering to a few privileged ones? An indepth look into those people that are not affected by the hardship would reveal that a large percentage of them are politicians, government contractors or corrupt persons and thier hangers-on. Finally, people like you have decided to side with the government against the masses. You support the hardship, lies, manipulations and Deceptions... by doing so, you have laid your bed with the oppressors against the masses whom you mockingly call opposition or losers. |

ivandragon:So you expected decades of rotten governance to be changed totally within 2 years? How do you correct the past wrong policies without going through some hardship at first Even if you have a car or generator, the moment it stopped working, the feeling and emotions would be mixed up, but that's only for temporary |

helinues:This is the same line you used for buhari even when it was glaring that he was failing. If you care to do the most important analysis that truly matters to the common man, that is purchasing power, you would clearly see that from 1999 till 2014, Nigeria was on an upward trajectory. Where there pains? Yes. But the gains were also pretty clear to see and impactful and the analysis below confirms it. Year 1990-1998 Av. Minimum wage (MW) N300 Item price 1. Rice N1000 3+ months salary to buy 1 bag 2. Beans N1500 5 months salary to buy 1 bag 3. Cooking gas NA No reliable records 4. Flour N190 1 month salary gets 1+ bag 5. PMS N11 1 month salary gets 27l 6. Diesel N12 1 month salary gets 25l 7. Cement N120 1 month salary = 2 bags+ 8. Basket of tomatoes N200 1 month salary =1+ basket 9. Beef N50 1 month salary = 6kg Year 1999-2010 Av. Minimum wage (MW) N7000 Item price qty of MW 1. Rice N6000 1month salary = 1+ bag 2. Beans N7000 1month salary to buy 1 bag 3. ivandragon:Okay. Tell us the improvement your current state governor, House of rep members and the senators made for their constituency, for their people The prices of good and services in other countries are not the same compared to 8 years ago And if you want to use minimum wage as an excuse for not improving, you need to consider purchasing power. Things are more cheaper in Nigeria compared to other countries which the minimum wage is far better to Nigeria when exchanged the currency but when you compared things they will buy with that money, Nigerians would buy more with their meager salary Kenya for example, their basic salary is around 30,000 KES, equivalent to Nigeria currency is N399,000 @ 13.3 rate. Average one bedroom in Kenya is 10,000 KES, basics, transportation, foods, and here and there are still there to sort out. A beer in Kenya now should be around 250KES. Can you buy one bottle of beer at N3,250 in Nigeria? |

Rossikk:People have stopped taking responsibility for their personal issues but instead pointing fingers. Those Oloshos, yahoo boys, the criminals, where are their parents? Hardship hardship, where are the Nigeria parents? If the government is not responsible which they have not been , have they also joined the league? The community producing same crops of politicians and the citizens, have we questioned her? |

helinues:Is it the state governor that regulates the economy in Nigeria? Is the governor responsible for the present inflation? This is how you people use dubious and deceptive statistics to justify failures. Why would you be converting KES to dollars, then to naira just to justify one of the worst performing currencies in the world? The simple logic is what can the Kenyans purchase with thier own money? Why convert it to another currency? Is it the Kenyas that said your government should make its currency relatively worthless next to thiers? Using your example, that KES30,000 would by a Kenyan 120 bottles of beer in Kenya. N70,000 would buy a Nigerian 31 bottles of beer (@2,200) in Nigeria. Assuming that KES10,000 is for a respectable 2 bedroom in the capital city, the Kenyan can pay for it 3 times a month from his salary of KES30,000. In nigeria, a similar respectable 2 bedroom in FCT goes for nothing less than N800,000 pee annum. So a Nigerian would use a full months pay to pay for the 2 bedroom flat monthly. Now tell me, who has the greater purchasing power? The Kenyan or the Nigerian? Anyway, I know you are fixated in justifying the leadership failure of BAT and the apc, so their failures mean nothing to you. So since I quoted you, I would let you have your final say which I know would be to justify why the masses should suffer while bat recklessly spends scarce resources he says we don't have. |

The opposition did not vote for Tinubulation. Your IQ can't comprehend the simple point. You voted for Tinubu to teach Peter Obi a lesson, only to end up shouting ebin pawa. That's the zenith of labouring in vain. Tinubu is a weapon fashioned against Nigeria. The opposition is only trying to remind you that you voted for the Tinubulation, that you are an accomplice. |

helinues:250ksh is not N32,500. Minimum wage here in the UK is £11.44 per hour and if I have about £10 after deductions, I can buy 5 kilos of chicken drumsticks at Morrisons for £1.99 per kg. Can a minimum wage earner in Nigeria, buy same?
