So I was discussing with someone earlier today and he was telling me that he spends about 24k to dry clean his clothes every weekend. He went on to tell me that his dry cleaner told him that he makes between 70k-100k per day from customers. I know that despite the harsh economy, people still patronize their dry cleaners. But that 70-100k which he told me he's dry cleaner makes is really tempting me to go into the business. I know some dry cleaning services within my neighborhood, and even though they look good and even have staffs which they pay, I can't give a rough estimate of their earnings. That's why I brought it here to seek public opinions from those who might know better; as to whether it's possible to make such money in a day or whether it's as lucrative as it's being projected. Your location would matter a lot. Because dry cleaning business are usually targeted at areas with high working class people. Those are the people who can afford to keep you in business. So if you can get a shop in a densely populated working class environment, you're good to go. 30 Likes 1 Share |

Dry cleaning business in this economy? You better look for alternative way around it. The only striving business now is tutorial college. I think it depends on your location, though i doubt if they make up to the 70/100K daily, maybe 20/30K daily after all expenses and overhead cost of running the business. But please if you want to venture into the business, run it yourself, do not employ someone to manage it for you. 12 Likes |

I am currently running the business. Even though it is lucrative at some point not anymore. Most customers owe and will not pay but will bring new clothes while some will be coming to pick the clothes one after the other. Yahoo boys mostly like taking there clothes to the laundry but they don't have money to pay. They will beg you to take the clothes and then before they will clear the bill, they will bring new clothes to add to the old bill. It is not easy. I will advise you to insist on half payment before and complete payment after doing the laundry. Though you will have issues with some of them with this payment plan but it will keep you in business and sustain the business. 50 Likes 1 Share |

Dry cleaning business is lucrative to some, but there are other dry cleaners who are still struggling to break through. For a dry cleaner to make up to 70k daily, he must be a sought after. The question is, will you be that lucky? 4 Likes 1 Share |
