adewasco2k:Inconclusive but did they check the battery voltage and state of charge before turning on the fridge after running the pump? Because the water pump is not nice to the battery. It seems the battery did not fully recover when you decided to turn on the fridge. I could be wrong. But given my experience running a pump on a 1.5kva inverter, I think is most likely the issue. Please don't do it again unless you allow the battery to juice up after such a beating. |

Have you used the Sako inverter or other transformerless hybrid inverters with a 3000W max on hot plate before ? Seeking feedback from users who have paired transformerless hybrid inverters with high-power appliances (up to 3000W) like electric stoves. Success stories or challenges? samnaija: |

Yes you can... Once it get to the needed 800w,it will cut the rest 300w plus off... In my own opinion, why not series the panel...? That cc can take up to 150V and 2 550w panel would enter max 100V. Anyways both way works... olatade: |

Ooreofegrace:Thanks so much for responding. It's actually a 145 volt CC sir. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ooreofegrace: 6:36am On Oct 22, 2024 |
I dont think that the issue here... For those numbers of jinko panels and capacity, I doubt if it will even take from the battery at all.. And again that is if the pumping was done during good harvest. FEGEITOK: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ooreofegrace: 6:37am On Oct 22, 2024 |
Still the 2 550w won't get to that even if you stay at the northern part of the country. Check the panel data sheet, the voc should be btw 45 and 50max..kindly confirm this pls.. olatade: |

Ooreofegrace:It's 49.82V and my state of residence is kaduna. Should i still go ahead and connect them in series? what is the advantage of a series connection over a parallel? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ooreofegrace: 6:53am On Oct 22, 2024 |
it reduces power loss, wire size... some of the many advantages.. But for a small system as yours.. Parallel connect no bad.. Just that its gonna need bigger and plenty wires unlike series connection. olatade: |

Ooreofegrace:SRNE has got awesome inverters. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Mrreed(m): 8:58am On Oct 22, 2024 |
Series connection is your best option here. It will give the cc the required voltage to perform it's mppt function. olatade: |

Ooreofegrace:Nah, I use a battery built by isangjohnson here. Solid so far. Heater use is also only when I'm getting peak power from sun anyway. |

Please does anybody by chance here sell a 36V pure sine wave inverter |

One quick question again, what the capacity of your heater...? HeavenlyBang: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dollarnaira(m): 10:25am On Oct 22, 2024 |
@olatade Series your pv and see the wonders of great output from your cc. Your cc will convert the rest voltage into usable amp. You will smile . |

Ooreofegrace:No i haven't, the sako hybrid was for a pumping project. But if you want to get an hybrid with transformers go for Felicity hybrid. |

Ooreofegrace:Your last sentence should have come first in the form of a condition: Provided that the pumping of the water and the turning on of the fridge happened during good PV harvest then .... But instead you put it last giving the impression that you were making a categorical statement earlier on. That said the guy made a telling statement, that it happened immediately after two conditions were fulfilled, first, the pumping of the water and second, the turning on of the fridge. That could (note not should) lead to the conclusion or assumption that they are related. He did not state whether he was in a good harvest or a bad harvest season. So without knowing all the variables, it is safe to not be categorical. I did include a disclaimer that I could very well be wrong, but my experience has been that if the battery goes too low, the inverter either registers a fault code or doesn't turn on at all or just goes off. There are at least three other variables we don't know: the capacity of the water pump aka how fast it ran down the battery or used up the juice from the PV the state of the charge or discharge of the battery when he started to pump how long the pump ran aka how far gone the battery was as at the time he turned on the fridge Which might (note I said might not must) have caused the inverter to go into self-protection mode. |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by samnaija: 6:59pm On Oct 22, 2024 |
bassdow:To be honest, i don't really know much about the water recycling, but if i may ask wont it involve pumping from one point to another then back again. This will require energy and pump. The fish farming is a very stinky business, the stench from the water not changed in two days is out of this world. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 7:04pm On Oct 22, 2024 |
samnaija:Yes still requires pumping water (recycling the water) from the pond, into a small drum (say those blue drum of 200 litres) back into same pond. That way, it's same water. As for the pump, it uses smaller pumps that costs less than 15,000 naira brand new and runs on say 12-volts power source. The purification happens inside the small drum. |
