IPOB Disowns Sit-at-home Order, Urges Calm In Southeast by Metrix147(op): 8:37am On Oct 22, 2024
Commercial activities in most parts of the South East states were grounded, yesterday, in continuation of the sit-at-home directive by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, over the incarceration of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kalu.

Despite the success of the weekly directive, IPOB, yesterday, denied declaring a sit-at-home exercise for October 21 and 22 in any part of Igbo land, ABN TV reports.

In Aba, Abia State, schools, banks, markets, and other business centres did not open. Major roads such as Azikiwe, Faulks, Ngwa, Aba-Owerri, Obohia, Ohanku, Ikot Ekpene Road, and Aba main motor park, among others, were deserted.

Combined teams of soldiers and police officers were observed patrolling major areas of the city.

The directive also recorded total compliance as the streets and roads were completely deserted in Umuahia.

Human and vehicular traffic was very limited although there were occasional movements of tricycles and vehicles. Students and pupils stayed at home as schools did not open for studies.

Most private schools had before the weekend, reportedly communicated to their students and pupils that they would not open for Monday and Tuesday. Banks also did not open to customers while only few street shops opened for business.

Every sane individual knows it's the govt in the center that is enforcing the so called seat at home under the guise of IPOB just to make the once most peaceful region look vulnerable to insecurity... undecided

For a country that its military was once one of the strongest in the world to watch some faceless individuals declare seat at home and the military with police who are supposed to counter them will even join in the so called seat at home shows how failed the cesspit of a country has become. shocked

Nnamdi kanu should be released, so that this madness will stop...if Sunday the Yoruba nation secessionist is free walking free after submitting petition to UK for an independent Yoruba nation ..then I don't see why they're still holding kanu who is till talking about biafra without any solid path to actualize it...justice is no respecter of race and tribe....injustice to one is injustice to all

I don't understand the obsession with sit at home in the South East.

It's just on Mondays right?

Edo, kwara, lagos and some other states adopted a three day work week due to Tinubu's harsh economic policies.

So while Igbos sit at home only on Mondays, Tinubu has forced civil servants to sit at home twice in a week.

Igbos work 4 days in a week, your people work 3 days in a week but your obsession is with Igbos?

Madness

Re: IPOB Disowns Sit-at-home Order, Urges Calm In Southeast by masterfactor(m): 8:55am On Oct 22, 2024
Why is IPOB denying this sit at home order, after all they are the ones who started it. As I said before, even if Kanu is release today, this sit at home will not end as IPOB as been broken into various fractional groups, one group loyal to Kanu, one loyal to ekpa and the others loyal to politicians. There will be internal power struggle between fractional groups, there by leading to IPOB destroying itself from within, if I were the federal government, I will just buy coke and popcorn and watch how the movie ends.

Good, the rubbish sit at home should end.

You are not fighting for ur people if they don't have the choice to choose.
You want Nigeria to conduct referendum but you can't allow your people can't walk freely.

Simon ekpa seems to be the only person genuinely fighting for biafra and the release of kanu,so they believe that silencing him will automatically put an end to the struggle,so they are deploying every means to paint him bad so as to turn the people against him.
Ibos can blame anybody for their own foolishness
Here is the list

dss
asari
Buhari
fulani
Tinubu
Yoruba
Anyim
Soludo
Uzodinmma
Some of them even blame Seun of nairaland too
Unfortunately they will never blame the chief terrorists Nnamdi Kanu and Simon Ekpa that are locking them up every Monday

God bless Biafra
God bless Maazi Nnamdi Kanu
God bless Biafran Prime Minister, Odogwu Simon Ekpa
God bless Biafran Government In Exile and the De Facto government in Homeland
God bless all Biafrans
This government is our government and sit at home must continue until Independent State Of Biafra is totally restored

Re: IPOB Disowns Sit-at-home Order, Urges Calm In Southeast by OT2024: 8:57am On Oct 22, 2024
The sit-at-home has outlived its usefulness. It is unfortunate that some miscreants will want it to continue.

Well-meaning South Easterners should be united in stopping this menace. It will bring more harm than any good if it continues.

I am Igbo but I must say that we are the most stupidest set of people when it comes to this whole Igbo emancipation shit. The way we are going about it is only hurting we the Igbos and not the west or the north or the Federal government. Businesses and education is seriously being affected here in the east and the Igbos are the ones suffering it. The federal government don't give a fish's tit even if we go for 5 days sit at home as it doesn't affect them. I just wish there's a better way of voicing our emancipation concerns without hurting Igbo businesses or economy
Are you saying that you are stupid?

I thought they were enjoying it, instead of them to fight for their land they'll be fighting and chest beating other tribes.
If they can't fight for their rights back home then why are they barking like wild dogs in Lagos trying to decide other people rights while they couldn't do it in their home ? Omoh ehh
