In the last decade, certain Protestant church group have unknowingly allowed teachings of marmon that originated from American soil creep into the church. They are carried away by what they call principles of giving and prosperity. God might have to raise a Martin Luther of the Protestant church to correct their errors because their Gospel as deviated from Christ alone to principles of marmon.

How did the church of Christ get to this point where pastors now preach saying

“Anyone who is not paying his tithe is not going to heaven, Jesus is the one collecting your tithe, If you don’t tithe, things will be tight for you, and You suppose to pay more than 10%”

It is written that Jesus Christ never gave himself to men because he knew them neither did the Berian church believe until they searched for the truth. Heresy can creep in anytime, but God show us his truth because he is good.

Our assurance of salvation is in Jesus Christ, in his death death and resurrection. No other works of men can save.

There are still those who believe men can be 100% correct in teaching the word of God. But it is not true. There are certain things the Holy Spirit directly teach without using men.

Apostle Paul had such teaching directly from the Holy Spirit and was able to correct Apostle Peter when Peter erred concerning is relations with the gentile church. Apostle Peter admitted his error and accepted the truth. Both were teachers of the word. So not all teachings must be taken hook line and sinker from a teacher.

We must rely on God’s Holy Spirit all the time even when we learn from his servants. He tells us what to accept and what not to in our spirit and conscience. It is written “God is greater than our conscience”.

My believe about giving to the church treasury. Do not give by being coerced or mandated by church leaders because God did not call them to tax the church of Christ like the government of this world does but to preach Christ. Give to the church treasury when God lays in your heart and as much as God leads you to give and cheerful in a manner that there will be enough left to distribute in the care of your household and *your widows* and your orphans. And when God leads, directly give to actual missionaries in the fields for they and their household are selected and sent out by the Holy Spirit.

You can call a non-denominational missionary ministry to indicate your interest in directly sponsoring one of their missionaries who are in parts of the world where people have never heard about Jesus Christ since they were born. If you are willing to or are lead to, please do. Ensure you check and verify before making donations so as not to get scammed. A reputable one I have always heard about since my days in the University is called Calvary Ministries CAPRO.

Like I have written in the article, humans are not 100% correct. This is why God was able to use Apostle Paul to correct Apostle Peter. While you may agree with all or some part of what I have written, let us be careful not to call a true servant of God whom God called to ministry false.

Corrections and changes can be done so the children of God walk in the path of truth. I do not condemn raising of fund in church to do God’s work. The concern is that the tithe collection is not the way it was done in the past even in Apostle Paul’s time for certain reasons. One of the reasons certainly is that it was designated for running of Jewish synagogues and gentiles were not obligated to tithe. Letter to the Hebrew church (Jewish church) mentioned tithe to emphasis that their messiah was indeed a Jew (of Judah) and beyond.

Now that the topic of tithe is introduced to the gentile church in this last days, it is evidently helping to divide the unified faith in Christ. They are still Jesus’ sheep and must be corrected in love. This is why corrections must be made so God himself would abolish it.

For example, there was a time in the Roman Catholic Church history when certain reverends collected money from penitent member that their sins might be forgiven. Such belief was abolished when God raised a man to protest about it stating the Bible says forgiveness and salvation is by faith alone and not by money we give. Though he was cast out of the church, God still worked in their hearts with the truth thus abolishing such error.

Talking about CORRECTION!

You can only correct those having the same line of thought as you do but when talking about religionists who feels they are doing the right thing then you are only looking for trouble because tithe payers and receivers will start CURSING you claiming you're going against what is written in the Bible book of Malachi 3:8-12

If we remember what happened to human beings in the Tower of Babel, how they became divided, we will understand that it is human nature to be divided from that time henceforth.

Even Jesus Christ himself prayed that his church will be united “that they may be one”. He knew this part of human existence is real. Just when we think there is unity then comes the little spark of division and then unity again. God constantly plants and uproots. God has been working for thousands of years. He never sleeps or tire.

It is not a matter of Christianity not meaning same line but a matter of people deciding to do their own bidding. We see this all through records of God’s dealing with the Israelites, the legitimate grandchildren and descendants of Abraham.

If a church is not following your errors, it not acceptable to your organization or to God?

Jesus Himself distanced Himself from the Law of Moses concerning divorce and misuse of Sabbath your organization pride in today .
Your organization subtly distance itself from certain teachings of C T. Russell and adopt Rutherford as the discreet slave master.

The truth of the matter is, no one person or leader has perfectly presented God except conceited organization like yours.
Check history, the records are replete with all sorts.

Going through the scriptures, I have not really seen what is wrong in tithing except the way pentecostals are bastardizing it. I have not seen any Orthodox churches having problems with this. In fact, those churches have developed their doctrines over centuries and are not perturbed the every wind of doctrines and sleight of men.

Jesus prayed let this cup pass me by…that was his prayer, the prayer of God’s Only Begotten Son yet it is the will of the Father that was done. Let’s not bring up new topic please. There is a time when all will be fulfilled. That time will come.

Edit: like I said, God answer prayer by uniting the church then human nature brings in division, then God works again. We Humans beings are hard people to lead because of our free will and nature. God answered the prayer. But there comes that point when all things will become perfect, when Christ will reign as King on earth. That is another topic.

Is it God's will that His worshipers should be contradicting themselves in teachings?

Please how do we distinguish between false religions and true religion if contradictions is a norm everywhere? 1Corinthians 14:33

There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, and it is equally a powerful tool in the hand of the believer for those who understands what is really is. However, you don't coarse people people to pay tithe, but educate them and the choice becomes theirs, but unfortunately; scarvengers had crept in (Philippians 3:17-19)

Everything is wrong with monetary tithing God asked the Israelites to PAY the Levites for their service in the temple which includes animal sacrifices and burning of incense but in the New Covenant there's no need for either animal sacrifices or burning of incense hence there is no law saying Christians who are no longer required to do either of the two pay tithe which was constitutional according to the service rendered by the Levites! Hebrews 7:5-12
